JDBC connectivity issue while connecting to college server
Connection fail simple check list: Your networking is working properly. Is there any firewall in your college server that blocks or allows the connections from a set of IP address? The address and port of database server is correct?? Check to make sure the external IP is actually available internally. Does the mysql service is start?? (check the system service list and the tcp listening list, does mysql listen connection??) Can you login your database via mysql shell from your workspace?? (open your terminal, enter mysql -h your_database_host -u your_username -p to login) Does database allow remote access?? (Check the my.cnf file in databaes server and remove the line bind-address=127.0.0.1)

Cannot connect to SQL Server named instance from another SQL Server
You've tried alot. And I feel for you. Here is an idea. I kinda followed everything you tried. The mental note I have in my head goes like this: "When Sql Server won't connect when you've tried everything, wire up your firewall rules by the program, not the port" I know you said you disabled the firewall. But something is telling me to give this a try anyways. I think you have to open the firewall "by program", and not by port. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc646023.aspx To add a program exception to the firewall using the Windows Firewall item in Control Panel. On the Exceptions tab of the Windows Firewall item in Control Panel, click Add a program. Browse to the location of the instance of SQL Server that you want to allow through the firewall, for example C:Progra

Asynchronous server and client with named pipes
You are supposed to use following functions during asynchronous modes: NamedPipeClientStream.BeginRead NamedPipeClientStream.EndRead and NamedPipeServerStream.BeginWrite NamedPipeServerStream.EndWrite Also I am convinced proper implementation for WaitForPipeDrain() is always used before any writes to buffer because if you have previously written, you will need to check whether previous write to buffer has been read. If you write and then use WaitForPipeDrain() then subsequent call to your write function (even mistakenly) will overwrite first and then check. I haven't tried it but it can be logically thought to be so.

Why the FIFOs server cannot receive the data from client? use named-pipes
Your client code breaks the loop only when interrupted — you should test the return value from fgets() and use that to break the loop on EOF. There's no guarantee with a FIFO as the output that fp is line buffered; you could add fflush(fp) after the fputs() call. There's no need to use memset() as shown. Since the client does not use its command line arguments, its main() should be int main(void). Your primary problem is the fflush() one, I believe; the others are more nearly cosmetic. As was noted by Joachim Pileborg, the server is not completely problem free. The server code in the question, although inefficient, will serve an arbitrary number of clients. However, you really need nested loops. The outer loop repeatedly opens the FIFO; the inner reads the contents of the FIF

This version of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express can only be used to connect to SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 servers
I just ran in to this issue as well but then was able to find the solution. You just need the newer version of SSMSE which is now 2008! Here's the MS download page: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7593

Link Access Database with Mysql Server and Use Access as Frontend [Table Issue]
You just need to rename your Linked MySQL table (rename the link in Access only) so that it matches perfectly the name you were using for that same table before in Access. This way you won't have to change your forms, queries, reports. There is no magic that happens in Access between local tables and linked tables. It's still up to you to move your data, make sure the MySQL table is designed the way you want it, maintain the links, delete old Access tables, etc.

java.io.StreamCorruptedException: invalid type code: AC client server-Can't find multiple instance of ObjectOutputStream
Unless the FileHandler.run()method is synchronized, or there is internal synchronization within it, neither of which is true, I don't see how you can possibly expect this to work. You're writing to the same ObjectOutputStream from multiple threads: you're going to get interleaving of data. Anything could happen at the receiver. NB testing isConnected() doesn't accomplish anything useful. You did connect the Socket, when you created it, and isConnected() will continue to tell you so, even after you close it. It doesn't for example tell you whether the connection is still alive.

c# multithreaded server - Generic client collection being a possible issue
Yuo You seem to be asking two questions here You are concerned about managing a collection in a thread safe manner You are concerned about trying to send data over a socket when the other party is disconnected. To answer your concerns given the limited information If you have multiple threads accessing your list then you need a thread safe implementation. You can roll one yourself using lock etc or use one of the new .NET ones. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd997305.aspx Regarding you comments about "local" lists, the simple answer is do not make local copies unless you want to run the risk of having stale data. Use a thread safe list and also enumerate through it directly. If you use LINQ expressions then you can make complex queries without needing to make any copies of y

Simple AJAX Function Issue: How does server receive message from client automatically?

It actually work like this: It create the http object as per browser (for IE - activexobject, FF - xmlhttprequest) and send the request to url that we are called as server site. There are four states: 0: request not initialized 1: server connection established 2: request received 3: processing request 4: request finished and response is ready Below is the code: var xmlhttp; if (window.XMLHttpRequest) {// code for IE7+, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari xmlhttp=new XMLHttpRequest(); } else {// code for IE6, IE5 xmlhttp=new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP"); } xmlhttp.onreadystatechange=function() { if (xmlhttp.readyState==4 && xmlhttp.status==200) { document.getElement

Is it safe to validate a Google Plus Oauth 2 access token sent from client to authenticate a user on server?
Short answer: yes. On iOS that's the best method of going about it right now. The important thing is that your verification checks what you want, generally: The client ID is a client ID from your project. You only use the user ID from the access token The token isn't expired The expiry, and other basic verification, is handled automatically when you called tokeninfo. Just make sure you check the client ID, and use the user ID from the the tokeninfo response to look up the local user. { "issued_to": "1234.apps.googleusercontent.com", "audience": "1234.apps.googleusercontent.com", "user_id": "104824858261236811362", "scope": "https://www.googleapis.com/auth/plus.login", "expires_in": 3584, "access_type": "online" } This is an example of the response. The client ID is the "aud

Android Progaurd - Internet connectivity issue after exporting application
You should remove the package org.xmlpull.v1 from your libraries. It is already present in the Android runtime (which gets precedence anyway). Adding duplicate packages increases the application size at best, and it can cause versioning problems at worst. In this case, ProGuard detects some dependency conflicts. Note that is "ProGuard", not "Progaurd".

Test Quartz.NET connectivity to SQL Server
I'll answer my own question hoping this will help someone else. If your connectivity is configured correctly, Quartz will automatically write some rows to QRTZ_JOB_DETAILS and QRTZ_LOCKS (and a few others). And yes, integrated security seems to work. I used this: Data Source=MyServer;Initial Catalog=ABC;Integrated Security=SSPI; which is very standard and it worked fine.

XMPP Server, smack API connectivity
You did not even reach the Tigase server. The error appears to be related to either configuration of the DNS or to parameters you pass to the Smack library. I do not know Smack API but from the error you attach it looks like you provide incorrect hostname, or at least a hostname which does not have a correct DNS entry. This is fine and you should still be able to connect to the server if you can provide IP address as well.

C# and SQL Server 2005
First of all - you should use the appropriate type for your dates - that is DATETIME - do not cast dates into strings and back if you can avoid it! (and you can definitely avoid it here) Secondly: the DATETIME in SQL Server as well as the DateTime in .NET both have dates and time information, e.g. 2013-06-23 14:57:34 so if you're doing an equality comparison in your JOIN condition, only those rows that exactly match your date and time will be selected. So you need strip off the time portion, if you want to use just dates for comparison. So try this code here: ALTER PROCEDURE dbo.YourProcedureNameHere (@currentdate DATETIME) SELECT DISTINCT table1.name, table2.class, table3.stream FROM dbo.table1 INNER JOIN dbo.table2 ON table1.id = table2.id INNER JOIN

Why is attempting to set client variables resulting in "String or binary data would be truncated" messages in coldfusion-out.log?
Just as I was about to post the question I figured out what it was, so to help anyone else experiencing the same problem I'll go ahead and answer too... The error was referring to the app column. This is created as a char(64), but for this application the name is generated based on a couple of factors which resulted in it ending up as 95 characters long. I edited the column in the database to char(255) and the problem goes away.

SQL Server 2005 Varchar less than
Query 2 displays the '090' data beneath the '90' data because that's what you're telling it to do in the ORDER BY aspect. Remember, your SOURCE column is a VARCHAR. It's a string, despite being numbers, and as such will sort according to the rules of strings. Thus, it's looks at the first character for order, rather than to the numerical value. If you want it to sort according to the numerical value which the string represents, then you'll need to cast the SOURCE column to an integer in the ORDER BY statement. And as for why it returns all data, that's because you're comparing the numerical representation of a number to a number. SQL performs an implicit conversion within the where clause to deal with the boolean operator. Now, your reported results for Query 1 are not what I'd expec

Bulk insert into SQL Server 2005
I assume you're using BULK INSERT to insert data in to temporary table or you could import it using Import Wizard in SQL Server. After that you could use below queries. Even though you've if(exist) it will update only rows that exists in both the table. So remove if else and write queries directly as shown below: update test1 set col = (#dummy.col).. from test1 inner join #dummy on (test1.companycode =#dummy.companycode and test1.folio = #dummy.companycode) For inserting records that doesn't exits in test1, you could use left join as shown below: Insert into test1 select column names from #dummy left join test1 on test1.companycode =#dummy.companycode and test1.folio = #dummy.companycode where test1.companycode is null and test1.folio is null
