Hide Gridview Row when Button clicked
You can Try this gridview Markup: <asp:TemplateField> <ItemTemplate> <asp:LinkButton ID="LinkButton1" runat="server" Text="Click1" OnClick="LinkButton1_Click" /> </ItemTemplate> Code-behind protected void LinkButton1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { GridViewRow clickedRow = ((LinkButton) sender).NamingContainer as GridViewRow; clickedRow.Visible = false; }

Gridview returning empty even when there is data. I want to use data in the gridview to update another database
Per my comment above you may want to do something like: List<string> _OrderIds = new List<string>(); DataTable table = gvOrderLines.DataSource as DataTable; foreach (GridViewRow gvr in table.Rows) { Label myOrderIDLablel = (Label)gvr.FindControl("lblOrderID"); //find control since it is a template field _OrderIds.Add(myOrderIDLablel.Text); } I hope this get you headed in the right direction.

csv file in gridview need to be filtered for dates
After clicking on your row, retrieve your DateTime value. Then iterate over the rest of the rows (or a LINQ query) to find the next row with your "next" DateTime value that you're looking for. Edit: In your csvGridView_CellClick method, you retrieve the row index of the cell that was clicked. If you need to find the next occurrence for that person 10 hours later, get the startDate from the current row, which you are already doing. Once you have that, call a new method entitled "LocateNextEntryForPersonAtXDateTime(string personName, string targetDateTime)", something like this: private int LocateNextEntryForPersonAtXDateTime(string personName, DateTime targetDateTime) { for (int i = 1; i <= csvGridView.Rows.Count; i++) { if (csvGridView.Rows[i][0].Value.ToString().ToLower() ==

Improve page rendering time having gridview, child gridview and grand child gridview on it
You are creating way too many grids. A grid is an expensive component. You could alter your user interface to allow users to select an Item and bind the inner grid only on selection. This ensures that rather than one grid per row or parent grid, you will have only one child grid displayed at a time.

Nested gridview checkboxes are not toggling when master gridview checkbox is toggled
When you run your first CheckBoxAll_OnCheckedChanged you will be running through each checkbox and changing its Checked to True or False dependent on what the CheckBoxAll has been ticked as. This will not cause a postback on the checkbox per one being run. Instead, while looping through the nested gridview you can call the CheckBoxAdd_OnCheckedChanged sub by just passing the object and same eventargs over to it. For example: Sub CheckBoxAll_OnCheckedChanged(sender as object, e as eventargs) 'Loop through gridview here 'When finding the control CheckBoxAdd just call For each gvRow as GridviewRow in gvStudents.Rows dim CheckBoxAdd as Checkbox = gvRow.FindControl("CheckBoxAdd") CheckBoxAdd.Checked = True 'Or false dependent on CheckBoxAll CheckBoxAl

Android - GridView onItemClick callback not being called When GridView is inside ViewPager
if the goal is simply to get the notification, use OnClickListener instead of OnItemClickListener. Set the listener via setOnClickListener in getView when convertView is null. Otherwise, if you need the extra information that you would get in onItemClick, you can specialize ImageView to set and retrieve the convenience members that you define in the specialized class.

AngularJS - hide parent element if children loop is empty (filtered)
If you can ask for the materials by group and you expect to do that for each group anyway, why not do that right away when you initialize the view and build a model with groups that have materials? If you can do that you can use ng-show to only hide groups that have materials. You seem to need to know that a group has materials or not somehow? Here's a fiddle without knowing much of the background story: <div ng-controller="MyCtrl"> <div ng-repeat="group in groups"> <div ng-show="groupHasMaterials(group)">{{group.name}}</div> <div ng-repeat="material in materialsByGroup(group)"> <div>{{material.name}}</div> </div> </div> </div> <script> var myApp = angular.module('myApp',[]); function M

Change the name of column in Gridview on runtime when sorting of gridview is enabled
I'm guessing you're trying to use AutoGenerateColumns? If this is the case why can't you change the column name in the datasource (using "AS" if the datasource is SQL)? Otherwise, your altering the cell text is short-circuiting the ASP.NET functionality which generates the sorting javascript postback. Alternatively you would do this if you don't use AutoGenerateColumns: myGrid.Columns[1].HeaderText = "test1";

How to call Parent Gridview's item Id by Nested GridView's Content
Unfortunately, you can't do that. WebGrid will only bind to a single model and because the columns aren't strongly-typed you can't reference a parent class. The solution is to create a ViewModel that contains all of the data you want to represent in your WebGrid and then bind your WebGrid to that ViewModel.

GridView - Hide Column but Use Value
Assign the ID to the DataKeyNames collection will work fine, is that an issue for you? The data keys is available for each row, not showing up in the UI, but still accessible with the row data, so you can get the ID for each row. You just have to get it from the DataKeys collection, instead of the row directly. You can add code to hide the first column (the ID) so that it doesn't appear, and rely on using the datakeynames to get the ID value... if that doesn't work, could you elaborate on why so I can adjust my answer..

Android GridView is empty
Don´t know if this causes the problem, but You have to set Your TextView and ImageView in Your adapter like this: TextView item = (TextView) v.findViewById(R.id.tv_grid); item.setText(data[position]); ImageView img = (ImageView) v.findViewById(R.id.iv_grid); img.setImageResource(R.drawable.dummy); EDIT First of all, the best way is to combine all three solutions. BUT, I have seen another issue in Your xml layout: You put the same id to the TextView inside Your GridView Element xml and Your Activity layout xml. Both TextViews got id="@+id/tv_grid" . This could never work, change the id´s to different ones

checking if gridview is empty using c#
According to the comment, you have: dataGridView1.DataSource = BS; where BS is BindingSource, so you can use its BindingSource.Count property. So somewhere in the code: var bindingSource = dataGridView1.DataSource as BindingSource; if(bindingSource.Count == 0) { MessageBox.Show("EMPTY"); }

Conditionally Hide Checkbox in row of Gridview
LinkButton.CommandArgument is implemented in this way(ILSpy on .NET 4): public string CommandArgument { get { string text = (string)this.ViewState["CommandArgument"]; if (text != null) { return text; } return string.Empty; } set { this.ViewState["CommandArgument"] = value; } } So as often in ASP.NET the property is never null but String.Empty. So change if (lb.CommandArgument != null) cb.Visible = false; to cb.Visible = lb.CommandArgument.Length > 0;

how to hide a column of gridview when I add data in rutnime?
GridView.Columns.Count will be 0 when you set AutoGenerateColumns="true" in your GridView. You could try explicitly declaring your columns and setting AutoGenerateColumns="false", or you could try using this in your codebehind: GridView.Rows[0].Cells.Count to get the column count once the data has been bound, or this: protected void GridView_RowDataBound(object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e) { e.Row.Cells[index].Visible = false; } to set a column invisible using the GridView's RowDataBound event. Edit 1 You can use bound field as follow <asp:DataGrid ID="DefaultGrid" Runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns=False> <Columns> <asp:BoundColumn DataField="Index" HeaderText="Header"> </asp:BoundColumn> </Columns> </asp:D

"true": "false"%>' Edit 3 Can not be done directly. <%= %> outputs directly to the response stream, and the asp markup is not part of the response stream. Its a mistake to assume the <%= %> operators are performing any kind of preprocessing on the asp m

ASP.NET GridView Empty After Dynamic Fill From VB.NET
Without seeing your code, then I am going to guess that you either have not set AutoGenerateColumns attribute of the GridView to "True" or you have not defined Columns within the structure of your GridView. To have the GridView automatically display all the columns (along with names) from the data source, then do the following: <asp:GridView id="GridView2" runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns="True" /> To have more control over which columns you want displayed and/or what header names the columns have, then do this: <asp:GridView id="GridView2" runat="server"> <Columns> <asp:boundfield datafield="CustomerID" headertext="Customer ID" /> <asp:boundfield datafield="CompanyName" headertext="Company Name"/> <asp:boundfield datafiel

Some columns empty in updated gridview row after update
The issue here is that after the Update, links to other entities are NULL for the updated row. What you can do is use the ID that corresponds to the link to the other entity and do an on-demand look-up. That is, maybe your is defined like <%# Eval("Customer.FirstName") %>, after the update, that row might be empty because the attribute "Customer" that is the link to the customer entity to get the first name, is null. So just define the like so: <%# Eval("Customer.FirstName") ?? Customer.GetFirstNameByID(Eval("CustomerID")) %> You would define the function GetFirstNameByID inside the Customer entity class to return the customer first name. Now after an update, if and when the "Customer" attribute is null, the first Eval() will return null so the second statement will exe

Using Gridview and Button in LinearLayout
Change the orientation of your LinearLayout to vertical. I suspect you're not seeing the Button because the GridView takes up all horizontal space, then the LinearLayout adds the Button in a place off the screen that's not visible. You also may want to change the layout_height of the GridView to "0dip" and give it the `android:layout_weight=1' attribute so that it will fill all space except that taken up by the Button.

You can have a page for files ex: www.website.com/download.aspx?id=12 You'll then need to change the http header to say it's a file to download with the data of that file. Response.AddHeader("Content-disposition", "attachment; filename=" & filename) Response.ContentType = "application/PDF" Response.BinaryWrite(binaryData) Response.End() An other option could be to create a temporary file.

Gridview always add new row when click button?
Here is problem #1 with your code: //extract the TextBox values TextBox box1 = (TextBox)Gridview1.Rows[rowindex].Cells[1].FindControl("txtDate"); TextBox box2 = (TextBox)Gridview1.Rows[rowindex].Cells[2].FindControl("TextBox2"); TextBox box3 = (TextBox)Gridview1.Rows[rowindex].Cells[3].FindControl("TextBox3"); This logic is flawed and not even necessary, because when you bind the grid it will iterate through the collection you supply as the DataSource and use the TemplateFields you defined in the markup to create each row. The rows are not actually added to the GridView until is bound to a data source, a DataTable in your case, like this: Gridview1.DataSource = dt; Gridview1.DataBind(); Step #1 is to remove the FindControl lines from your AddNewRowToGrid method. I am not even sure
