Have you tried making a wrapper first, and then just using the margin: 0 auto; code inside your css file? Basically <div id="wrapper"> <div class="swf-container"> <!-- Your Flash Code Here --> </div> </div> And then inside your CSS file, something like this.. div#wrapper { width: 100%; height: auto; } div#wrapper > div.swf-container { display: block; height: 500px; width: 980px; margin: 0 auto !important; }

div vertical align middle css
You can use line-height: 50px;, you won't need vertical-align: middle; there. Demo The above will fail if you've multiple lines, so in that case you can wrap your text using span and than use display: table-cell; and display: table; along with vertical-align: middle;, also don't forget to use width: 100%; for #abc Demo #abc{ font:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size:18px; text-align:left; background-color:#0F0; height:50px; display: table; width: 100%; } #abc span { vertical-align:middle; display: table-cell; }

How can I put element in the middle of vertical align?
First reset browsers default stylesheet like margin or padding by: * { padding: 0; margin: 0; } Then add line-height: 100px; CSS declaration to the .newsticker element: div.newsticker{ border:1px solid #666666; width:100%; height:100px; /* -------- */ line-height: 100px; /* | */ /* ^---------- */ } JSFiddle Demo Update By using CSS, it is almost impossible to achieve this goal. I create a jQuery version, It calculates height of the dynamic paragraph and set top property to get it to the middle of its parent. In this case a little change is needed in CSS: CSS: div.newsticker { position: relative; /* Add relative position to the parent */ overflow: hidden; /* Hide the overflow */ } .newsticker p { width: 100%; /* Set t

Align objects into middle of layout
You can use RelativeLayout with nested LinearLayout. Put all your view into LinearLayout without applying centering and set centerInParent="true". But in your case just remove layout_gravity attribute from your views and add gravity="center" to the root view. And also you forget to close your view's tags;) So the final layout will be something like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:gravity="center" android:orientation="vertical" > <TextView android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" /> <TextView andro

If I'm understanding correctly, you just need to use $(window).resize. See here: http://jsfiddle.net/dcsKt/5/ $(window).resize(function() { var originalFontSize = 12; var sectionWidth = $('.web-message').width(); $('.web-message span').each(function(){ var spanWidth = $(this).width(); var newFontSize = (sectionWidth/spanWidth) * originalFontSize; console.log(newFontSize); $(this).css({"font-size" : newFontSize+"px", "line-height" : newFontSize/1 + "px"}); }); }); Is that what you're looking for?

Vertical align middle for h3 tag not working
One way to do it is to wrap everything in a new tag and apply display:table to it. The h3 elements should then be set to display:table-cell Like this: http://jsfiddle.net/QSjM3/ Having said that, I do agree that three h3 tags in a row is unusual so you should consider re-structuring your markup

How to align Paging toolbar in middle of grid
Configure your paging toolbar this way would do the trick: { xtype: 'pagingtoolbar', store: store, dock: 'bottom', displayInfo: true, items: ['->'], prependButtons: true } This relies on having another toolbar filler '->' on the right of the paging items, so if you set displayInfo to false, you should use MMT's solution instead. this instead: { xtype: 'pagingtoolbar', store: store, dock: 'bottom', displayInfo: false, listeners: { single: true, render: function() { var items = this.items; items.insert(0, Ext.create('Ext.toolbar.Fill')); items.add(Ext.create('Ext.toolbar.Fill')); } } }

Align image to left, middle and right without using float
You can create 3 divs, with equal width, then place each image in their own div, and you can align them how you want in that. <div id="container"> <div id="left"><img src="image1.png" /></div> <div id="center"><img src="image2.png" /></div> <div id="right"><img src="image3.png" /></div> #left,#right,#center {width:300px;} #left{text-align:left;float:left;} #center {text-align:center;float:left;} #right {text-align:right;float:left;} You have to float the divs, but you are still using text-align for the images.

Why won't "vertical-align middle" work with this table cell?
You're floating the <td> in the last rule of your CSS - this will automatically make an element block-level, and vertical-align will not work as it only applies to elements in the inline-formatting context. You should instead use text-align to align the <td> content instead of floating #dateHolder http://jsfiddle.net/LRMrv/

CSS3 min-height property ignored with vertical-align: middle
Given the fact that you've set a min-height of 75px, you can just add padding of half that to the top and bottom of the text, like so: .warning { display:block; font-family: sans-serif; font-weight: bold; padding: 32.5px 0; /*vertical-align: middle;*/ } .warning needs to be display: block; to accept padding, but those are the only changes that are necessary to accomplish your objective, I think. Check it out: http://codepen.io/maxwbailey/pen/qcvre EDIT If you want to keep the text centered until the container gets small enough that it fills the min-height, you need to use display: table-cell, like so: .warning { display:table-cell; font-family: sans-serif; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: middle; height: 75px; } http://codepen.io/maxwbailey/pen/dwfar

how to let vertical-align middle work with display inline-block

Getting error "String cannot be of zero length" when replacing a French quote character with normal single quote
It seems to me that, for some reason, your string at the point you attempt to replace is of 0 length. This indicates that the problem has to do with the contents of the column you retrieve from the DB. As such, I suggest that you check in your code if the string is null or empty before trying to replace.

Fixing column "columnname" does not exist pgsql in database. Double quote vs single quote error
No you can't. If you had used proper insert - with named columns: insert into review (column1, column2, column3) values (....) then it could be theoretically possible to do by adding column "exist" and a trigger. But this would be very far away from being sane solution.

Prevent Quote Detail editing but allow the revision of the Quote itself
Register on the Pre Create message (stage 20) of QuoteDetail and filter on the parent context not being for Quote. If it is, just return (effectively doing nothing). The same applies to the Update message of the QuoteDetail. Both messages run in the context of the ReviseQuote message for Quote. var parentContext = context.ParentContext; // While there is a parent context... while (parentContext != null) { // When parent context is for "quote", return; if (parentContext.PrimaryEntityName == "quote") { return; } // Assign parent's parent context to loop parent context. parentContext = parentContext.ParentContext; }

How to align middle column in responsive 3-column structure?
Taking the JavaScript/JQuery approach, I'll provide an idea, but not the code itself. my code sections are not real code, but illustration of what need to be done. (except for the CSS part) first, we set the box-sizing of all the elements in page to be border-box, because its easier to calculate the sizes of the elements this way. * { -webkit-box-sizing: border-box; /* Safari/Chrome, other WebKit */ -moz-box-sizing: border-box; /* Firefox, other Gecko */ box-sizing: border-box; /* Opera/IE 8+ */ } this means that the width of .col2 have to grow by 10px to support the 10px padding and stay like before. .col2 { width: 120px; } it will be best if the second column will always be next to the first one, so we will set the max-width of .col1 to support that behaviour. .co
