how can I add a vertical scrollbar to my div automatically?
You need to assign some height to make the overflow: auto; property work. For testing purpose, add height: 100px; and check. and also it will be better if you give overflow-y:auto; instead of overflow: auto;, because this makes the element to scroll only vertical but not horizontal. float:left; width:1000px; overflow-y: auto; height: 100px; If you don't know the height of the container and you want to show vertical scrollbar when the container reaches a fixed height say 100px, use max-height instead of height property. For more information, read this MDN article.

TextBlock with vertical scrollbar only
<TextBox HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Top" TextWrapping="Wrap" TextAlignment="Center" VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Auto" Width="300" Style="{StaticResource TextBlockStyle}"/> You don't need a ScrollViewer wrapped in the TextBox, the TextBox control has its own ScrollViewer. And you need to define the width of the TextBox so that the scrollbar will know its fixed width and will wrap the text. Then, you have to style the TextBox to look like a TextBlock A good reason why this ScrollViewer won't work according to to Ifeanyi Echeruo from Microsoft, from MSDN ScrollViewer first asks its content how large it would like to be in the absence of constraints, if the content requires more space than the Viewer has then its time to kick in som

Setting height 100% to div causes vertical scrollbar
Use min-height: 100% instead and add a negative margin to .content to shift it up: .logodiv { position: relative; z-index: 10; } .content { background-color: gold; min-height:100%; margin-top: -40px; } .content:before { content: ' '; display: block; height: 40px; } JSBin Demo #1 Note: In order to push down the content of .content element, I used ::before pseudo-element selector, another option could be: Using box-sizing: border-box and padding-top: 40px CSS declarations: .content { background-color: gold; min-height:100%; margin-top: -40px; -webkit-box-sizing: border-box; -moz-box-sizing: border-box; box-sizing: border-box; padding-top: 40px; } JSBin Demo #2 PS: Nowadays, All major modern browsers support ::before pseudo-element and/or box-sizing

Vertical ScrollBar in javafx TableView is not working
Likely some nodes on the outside of the BorderPane are overlapping your content. You can test this by setting the center of the BorderPane last, in which case the center will overlap the border. In general I don't really like BorderPane that much because I find the way it tries to fit components into minimal space non-intuitive and stick with VBox and HBox where I can. Also note that the above behaviour may not be your particular issue. Java 8 is currently early access software which may have bugs. Your description sounds like you may have found a bug. If, after further testing, you feel it is a platform bug, create an sscce and include it in a bug report, with your description of how to replicate the issue.

CSS or JQUERY Vertical Scrollbar BUT WITHOUT SETTING HEIGHT
In your .parent div you have a margin-left: 2% and margin-right: 2%. Remove the margin-right: 2% and make the width 98% and your scrollbar will appear. The reason for this is that your margins push the scrollbar off of the screen, when the width is 100%. I would also suggest removing the overflow-y: scroll from the <html> tag, as it just seems to create a giant disabled scrollbar, could be confusing to users and seems to be a waste of space.

One possibility would be to wrap the two child divs in another div, which has a width, which has at least the width of the two children together. Fullcalendar jQuery plugin by Adam Shaw Scrollbar issue
This is a little hacky - I am finding the closest DIV that has a class then traversing to the next div (which has the scrollbars) and enabling niceScroll on that element. It would be easier if the container that scrolled had a class or an ID on it. Once you include nicescroll you can add this to your calendar initialization: viewDisplay: function(view) { $('.fc-agenda-divider').next('div').niceScroll(); } Something like this $('#calendar').fullCalendar({ viewDisplay: function(view) { $('.fc-agenda-divider').next('div').niceScroll(); }) You can see it in action here: http://jsbin.com/ugepus/1/

Responsive Design Issue
This will work when @media screen takes effect. http://jsfiddle.net/Enxu2/1/ You have a few issues because of your minimum width being set to specific pixels. For a mobile atmosphere you need to use a % so it can adapt to the viewport. Once you set something to width: 100% you need to be conscious of your left/right margins and padding as it can move elements outside of where they should be and allow the user to zoom in and out on your page instead of it fitting perfectly. An easy way to fix this if you are having some elements outside of your defined borders you can try changing some width:100% to width: 95% or even 90%. This should allow you to see which elements are causing the problem. In the jsfiddle provided I changed some widths and some margins. I hope this will help you get

Responsive tabs issue
There are some technical problems with your directive, as well as an architectural one. Let's start with the easy part: You're using Tabs={...} but your directive is called TabsDirective. Plus, directives must have camel cased names. So your directive should be renamed as either tabs or tabsDirective (though it seems a little redundant to use 'directive" in a directive's name). You're using <p> tags inside the resp-tabs-container div, but according to Easy Responsive Tabs docs, you should use <div> tags instead. Now to the big problem. When your directive is executed, the content of the div it is applied to hasn't been processed by Angular yet, so when the link function runs and it calls $(element).easyResponsiveTabs(...), the element markup isn't fully rendered and the plu
