Blueimp jQuery multiple fileupload plugin $(this).fileupload() not a function
You have to make sure that you are loading all the script files in the correct order: jquery.ui.widget.js jquery.iframe-transport.js jquery.fileupload.js just before you close the body tag. Also, use the browser inspector the see that the scripts are actually loading.

Is compatible Jasny fileupload plugin + blueimp fileupload?
There is a namespace clash between Blueimp fileupload and Jasny fileupload. See this GitHub issue. You can work around this by changing th (blueimp/jQuery-File-Upload) widget factory namespace from $.widget('blueimp.fileupload', {.... to e.g $.widget('blueimp.fileuploader', {....

blueimp fileupload with angularjs not uploading anything
This might save you hassle if you are looking for file upload using AngularJS https://github.com/danialfarid/angular-file-upload It is basically a directive like tosh's answer that takes care of non-HTML5 browsers with FileAPI flash polyfill and has $http.uploadFile function to upload the actual file via AJAX. This issue Everything looks to be working, but no file in upload folder seems very similar to yours you can ask him how he fixed it.

Rails blueimp fileupload - cannot select files in Internet Explorer
It took me quite some time to figure it out but in the end it was actually pretty simple: When applying my own styles I replaced the span-tag around the Add-Files-Button with a button-tag. This had no effect in the webkit browsers, however led to an immediate form submit in Firefox and Internet Explorer. Changing it back finally solved the issue :)

May be FF and IE doesnt like the space and Chrome is linient

FileUpload using Jquery Ajax and Generic Handler
I was a little confused with jQuery-File-Upload myself, but after reviewing the plugin documentation I found what is needed for the plugin to work on Windows environment. PROBLEM 1: FILE SAVING - regarding this issue, make sure that you are saving to a valid and previously created directory, and also that you have WRITE permissions to that directory. PROBLEM 2: UPLOAD POSTBACK - You must setup your upload script to write the uploaded file, AND return a valid JSON response to the plugin, as defined on the plugin documentation: https://github.com/blueimp/jQuery-File-Upload/wiki/Setup#using-jquery-file-upload-ui-version-with-a-custom-server-side-upload-handler if (context.Request.Files.Count > 0) { HttpFileCollection files = context.Request.Files; for (int i = 0; i < files.Co

Primefaces fileupload resets on ajax update
This can be avoided by changing the file upload tag to the following: <p:fileUpload fileUploadListener="#{fileUpload.add}" mode="advanced" /> This way the Add and Submit buttons as well as the AJAX update are not needed as the advanced version of the file upload will provide the same functionality. In addition, in your DummyFileUpload bean you wall have to change the add function: public void add(FileUploadEvent event) { files.add(event.getFile()); }

Number Limits of Ajax FileUpload Control in a Aspx page
As the error states, the server connection is timing out. Are you storing the uploaded data to a database, or just a local folder? In any case, I'm pretty sure it's related to the file size being larger than the default max file size. Check out http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/e1f13641%28VS.80%29.aspx specifically maxRequestLength. Increase that in your web.config and it should resolve your timeouts.

Struts2 excel fileupload using org.apache.commons.fileupload
I found a solution to the problem I faced @ http://grokbase.com/t/struts/user/095ewvh02e/file-upload-jupload-how-to-disable-struts2-fileupload-interceptor The thing which worked from above post :) - I finally safely changed the struts2 filter mappings from "/" to ".action" and today i've had great success merging redback struts2 with my existing webapp. I gave this a try & the S2 fileupload interceptor did not interfere & all my actions which use S2 have *.action extension. Thanks Roman C & Dave for your time & efforts I appreciate pshinde31

I am using UrlRewritingNet.UrlRewrite dll, how to redirect to Error page when bad request get fired?
On IIS 7+ you can define error pages for all statuses, for 400 Bad Request : <httpErrors> <error statusCode="400" path="/bad-request.aspx" prefixLanguageFilePath="" responseMode="ExecuteURL"/> </httpErrors> or trough IIS console go to the error pages and add custom error page for status code 400 :

AngularJs chaining an undefined ajax request and output progress (also if one request fail)
You can use $q.all to get all response and then process the response at the same time $q.all(promises).then(function (values) { //process all result together }); And you can also plugin a callback function to each promises to indicate the progress $q.all(promises[0].then(callback), promises[1].then(callback), ...).then(function (values) { //process all result together });

JQuery Ajax POST - Request Body not showing up in Raw HTTP Request
Look at the responseText success: function (response, status, xhr) { console.log(xhr.responseText); alert('Success Auth Token:' + response); } You will probably see the correct text there, but the responseXml will be null since the document is not valid. Why? Because you are missing the line <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> which will make it a valid XML doc

Chrome Refuses to make Ajax Request to same url after request is aborted
It is because of cacheing, and because the URL is the same as it was before, hence why it ignores it. By appending a timestamp, makes the URL different, and each request goes through. Another option is setting cache to false (with .ajax()) which interestingly enough, simply appends a timestamp for you. .ajax() docs $.ajax({ /* ... */ cache: false });

MVC Ajax Request not triggering in controller when submitting request
You have the Action labelled with [HttpPost]. This will work fine on the AJAX request with the POST HttpMethod, but the initial page load will be a GET Request - try removing the [HttpPost] or restructuring so that you have: [HttpPost] public ActionResult Schedule(int id = 0, string customerSearch = "") { Customer customer = _customerRepository.Find(id); return PartialView("Schedule", customer); } [HttpGet] public ActionResult Schedule(int id = 0) { return View(); } Also, your AJAX form is not posting from an input with name="id", so that will need to be addressed.

Laravel: strange behavior when I try to serve ajax and non-ajax request on same route (Caching)
Definitely a caching issue. Just to try and get some results, add this to your controller (ajax and non-ajax) to force-disable caching: header("Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate"); // HTTP/1.1 header("Expires: Sat, 26 Jul 1997 05:00:00 GMT"); // Date in the past And see if chrome still fetches from the cache on the back button.

jQuery: Can I send and receive an $.ajax response while a longer $.ajax request is pending?
Instead of doing an ajax post you can post to an iframe and have php generate incremental output and send it with the flush command. // send a hash mark for every 1000 inserts $a = 0; while ($rec = getDataForNextInsert()){ $a++; // do insert if ($a%1000 == 0) { echo '#'; flush(); } } It would also then be possible to poll the contents of the iframe to provide a pretty display for the end user.

jQuery.ajax reloads page instead of performing ajax request in Safari on iOS
All that is needed to make this work is a return false; from the handler function. See event.preventDefault() vs. return false for a more complete explanation, but basically "return false from within a jQuery event handler is effectively the same as calling both e.preventDefault and e.stopPropagation on the passed jQuery.Event object." So a fully functional version of the above code is: getInfo = function() { $.ajax({ url: '/test/info', dataType: 'html', success: function(data, textStatus) { if ( textStatus == 'success' ) { // doing stuff with data } } }); return false; }; // The order of vv that string may be important $(document).on('click touchend', '.getInfo', getInfo );

how to prevent to send ajax request while another ajax reqeust is processing?
The better way is to simply not send a request until the user stops typing. this is easily done using the keydown event and a throttle waiting for 250ms of inactivity. Doing it your way will result in not getting the results that the user wants. $("#search").on("keydown",function(){ var $this = $(this); clearTimeout($this.data("throttle")); $this.data("throttle",setTimeout(function(){ doSearch.call($this.get(0),$this.val()); // perform the ajax search },250)) }); Also, when inserting the new results, build the entire result list in a single variable then insert it all at once with .html(thehtml) after the loop.

Ajax overlay not showing during ajax request
I guess it's related to the synchronous AJAX call (cf. jQuery documentation about AJAX settings). I'd try modifying your code to be something like showOverlay(); var searchString = $("#search-results-form-query").val(); $.ajax({ url: "Order?Page=storeSearchKeyword", data: "searchString="+searchString, success: function (data, textStatus, jqXHR) { var manResult = jqXHR.responseText; $("#cart-product-list").empty(); $("#cart-product-list").append(manResult); hideOverlay(); } });

How to check if the request is an AJAX request with PHP
There is no sure-fire way of knowing that a request was made via Ajax. You can never trust data coming from the client. You could use a couple of different methods but they can be easily overcome by spoofing.

AJAX Request and Simple Request
Simple Answer: Yes Complex Answer Ajax is build on the concept of making a request and receiving a response. Can use any of the CRUD operations (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) An HTTP request is different because it is expecting a HTTP response as opposed to a JSON or XML response. Also it only uses the GET protocol of HTTP. You can use a subscription protocol (XMPP) or something like SignalR. These are built to make a request that then receives multiple responses and might send more requests.

No. While there are APIs to access image data (although I think they are all related to bitmaps loaded onto <canvas> rather than <img>), you can't access the data from a different origin because the Same Origin Policy still applies.

Is it possible to set a variable's value in an AJAX request?
You can set variables with the page you request, if this page runs some javaScript. I assume your ajax request is calling page 2? However, it would make more sense, I think, to set the variable in the callback of your ajax request. Since you did not list any server side languages, I'm also assuming you are talking about changing client-side variables.

WordPress Ajax Get Request?
It's pretty hard to guess the problem but some simple workarounds that you can use all the time:- CAUTION! Please take backup of your WordPress before doing anything. 1st workaround:- Download fresh WordPress copy Delete every folder, except the wp-content folder. Upload all the files and folders again, except the wp-content folder. 2nd workaround:- Rename wp-content/themes to wp-content/themes-backup Create a new folder:- wp-content/themes start copying each theme from themes-backup to themes one by one and see if the error is gone. Now what you have done with the themes folder, do exactly with the plugins folder.
