Installing Aptana Studio 3 on Eclipse 4.2
This error message says your PyDev 2.7.5 needs a higher version of the pydev core than aptana 2.7.0. You need a version of Aptana that's blessed for Juno that includes PyDev, or you need to install Aptana into a package of Juno that doesn't include PyDev.

Eclipse Auto-Upload on Save, Without Aptana
Did you consider set up Samba server on your Linux and work on you local computer but store project in remote directory served by Samba from Linux or use mentioned FileSync to sync local working directory with network directory (which for Windows look like local and thus FileSync should work). Or Dropbox? Edited: You are constrained heavily I see. Maybe you have on remote host rsync? You could write small utility to manage if your local folder changed (for Windows: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa365261(v=vs.85).aspx) and then synchronize folders with rsync via ssh (https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-use-rsync-to-sync-local-and-remote-directories-on-a-vps). This would be completely independent from Eclipse.

Can I use Aptana V3 (Eclipse) debugger with Marionette/Require/Backbone?
You need to debug the client code from the browser like firebug if running client in Firefox. Or Chrome Dev tool if Chrome is used. Here are the steps: From Eclipse, right click the 'index.html' file Goto Run-As menu --> Select JavaScript Web Application It will launch Web Browser and load the index.html file and Aptana internal server will be running without you doing anything. Browser setting is"Preferences/General/Web Browser" Then you can follow the firebug to debug if using Firefox and to set breakpoints.

Error occurred during installing Aptana 3 Eclipse plugin
The URL seems to be downloadable (for me). This might just be a transient error with the Aptana server, or it might conceivably be a networking error in your network, ISP, or national network. Try it again.

What SVN connector do I need to use for Eclipse Juno Subversive on Mac?
If you look at the installation instructions for Subversive, you find there the following remark: For all other platforms (MacOS, Linux, etc.), you should install a platform-independent pure-Java SVNKit connector, or additionally install a package that contains JavaHL binaries for the target platform. And later, it is stated: If you've installed JavaHL connector on a non-Win32 platform or if you want to use a different set of JavaHL binaries, you should do the following ... with a recipe to make it known to Eclipse. On an older blog post, I found the following: sudo port install subversion-javahlbindings I do not know if that is true any more, the Stackoverflow question references the explanation at tigris, so the command from above is true if you use MacPorts, for HomeB

That happens if your eclipse version is too old, as detailled in bug 365425 Make sure your Eclipse is at least 3.7 or more recent. The latest EGit 3.0.x would require an Eclipse Kepler 4.3.

AJP Connector or HTTP Connector
AJP permits the proxy to tell the backend about client SSL certificate details, which in Java EE are used to satisfy some HTTPServletRequest APIs. You shouldn't use either in IHS, though, with an application server IHS wasn't bundled with. You'll have no support, and the generic proxy support is not really maintained actively.

Aptana and Compass on Windows 8
Sounds like it's not finding the gems in your PATH. Have you tried launching Aptana from the command line? If you don't want to use the command line, make sure that your login PATH is setup correctly. From the docs: You should also make sure that your login PATH is set up correctly such that you can execute the ruby, gem, rails, and git commands correctly. Setting these things up in your .bashrc (or equivalent) isn't sufficient, because it doesn't get evaluated by default when GUI applications like Aptana Studio 3 get launched. Ruby switching utilities like rvm should also work, provided that you set them up in your login PATH as well. If getting your login PATH set up in this way isn't practical for you, you can work around the problem by launching Aptana Studio

Debug PHP called through Javascript in Aptana
Yes, this should be possible with some help from a browser extension. Xdebug will initiate a debugging connection when either the IDE appends the ?XDEBUG_SESSION_START=1 GET parameter, but also when a cookie with the same name is set. The list at http://www.xdebug.org/docs/remote#browser-extensions lists extensions for each browser that allow you to set such a cookie. Xdebug notices that cookie and initiates a debugging session and as long as Aptana (or any other IDE) has an open listener for debugging connections this should work fine. THe documentation at https://jira.appcelerator.org/secure/attachment/26405/ServerPHPDebugging.pdf (page 5) explains how to set this up as well.

Updating internal version of Git on Aptana
Aptana's terminal (for me at least) is using the same version of Git I get in any command line. The path to the file is located in my PATH environmental variable. For me, msysgit is version 1.7.11 and it is located in C:Program Files (x86)Git. The PATH points to C:Program Files (x86)Gitcmd. I suspect you could install any git you want and just make sure your PATH points to the correct one. Side question: Does Aptana's terminal work well for you for Git? I get failed screen wipes whenever I come out of editing a commit message and can't use Ctrl + C to leave insert / edit mode or the whole terminal shuts down.

Aptana 3 Pydev not getting Tk() window after running
The-IT is right, you do want to add myGui.mainloop() to the end of main. Normally when I'm working in Tkinter I try to move some of the information in your function main into the if... clause. This makes larger, more complex interfaces much easier to handle. A good start is to use a class: from Tkinter import * from ttk import * class App(Frame): def __init__(self, master): Frame.__init__(self, master) self.pack() self.create_widgets() def create_widgets(self): self.l = Label(self, text='Help') self.l.pack() if __name__ == '__main__': root = Tk() app = App(root) root.mainloop() The benefits of this is that you can easily introduce toplevels, add additonal widgets (in an organized fashion) and have clearer code. You can a

Aptana Python stdlib issue with virtualenv
Update: I finally ended up restarting the project. It turns out that not all of the standard Python tools are selected when you select the virtualenv interpreter. After I selected all of the python tools from the list (just after choosing the interpreter), I was able to get access to the entire standard library.     Do NOT just import the modules into your project. Many of the stdlib modules are interdependent and the import function will only import a module into your main project directory, not a libary!

Aptana Studio freezes when I try to do a push to my repository
Depending on the url you are using (https or ssh), you need first to make sure the git push from the console doesn't ask you for a password, because you have cached your credentials: in a ~/.netrc (or %HOME%/netrc for windows), that you can encrypt if you want to. This is more secure than putting directly the password in the url: https://username:password@server/url/to/git/repo in an ssh-agent (for the passphrase to be set automatically for you) Once that works, try again to push from Aptana, as mentioned in "How to get Aptana Studio to remember git ssh password"

Is there a way to save username and password on aptana when connecting to github?
First you need to tell git your name, so that it can properly label the commits you make. $git config --global user.name "Your Name Here" # Sets the default name for git to use when you commit Git saves your email address into the commits you make. We use the email address to associate your commits with your GitHub account. $git config --global user.email "your_email@example.com" # Sets the default email for git to use when you commit Your email address for Git should be the same one associated with your GitHub account. The last option we need to set will tell git that you don't want to type your username and password every time you talk to a remote server. $git credential-osxkeychain # Test for the cred helper # Usage: git credential-osxkeychain <get|store|erase> To tell

Trouble setting up Flask in a virtualenv in an Aptana project on Mac
Thanks to the link from @FoxMaSk in the comments above, I finally tracked down the hangup. Here are responses to each of my own questions: 1) The pip command was not working because it was not installed (comes with Homebrew, which I didn't have). This was confusing because I had successfully installed virtualenv using easy_install which also typically comes with Homebrew. It turns out I'd gotten easy_install with the Enthought Python Distribution but Enthought does not come with pip. At that point I installed Hombrew, only to discover that it clashes with Enthought (will issue a warning when you run brew doctor as recommended. Ugh. Eventually I uninstalled Enthought, and installed Anaconda in its place, because it does not clash with Homebrew. As a bonus, Flask (the goal at the end of

Git: Undo revert on local file in Aptana Studio
No solution with Git but Aptana is based on Eclipse and Eclipse maintains a local history of changes to files. You should be able to right click on your file then select the menu "Compare With" (or "Replace With") and then "Local history". In the history tab which appears on the bottom you can select the concrete history version. When you click on a folder you should be able to restore a deleted file with the same method. I hope that helps!

From what I can tell, that is the HTML Tag Pair Occurences preference. You can change its apprearance (make it invisible?) under Preferences > General > Editors > Text Editors > Annotations > HTML Tag Pair Occurences. This will also affect the highlighting on existing code however. When you click inside an existing tag pair, they will be highlighted based on this same setting.
