It appears that info.EnumerateFiles was the issue. I got that idea from this answer. I switched that to info.GetFiles and I was then able to delete the directory after.

There are first chance exceptions and second chance exceptions; second chance exceptions are the ones that your code attempt to handle, while first chance exceptions are "seen" by the debugger. In other words, first chance exceptions only matter when you are debugging. Here is some MSDN documentation on First and second chance exception handling

Error trying to save image in file system in Azure Server - A generic error occurred in GDI+
I'm guessing that the issue is with the f drive. You'll find that, occasionally, e: and f: may change upon restart. Since you claimed that things were working, and then suddenly started crashing, I'm thinking that, if you rdp into your role instance, you'll find that approot is now on e: instead of f:. There should be an environment variable, RoleRoot, that you can use for determining what drive your approot is on: Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable("RoleRoot");

This is the answer http://astroelec.blogspot.com/ (using Debian) Installing ia32-libs will no longer work as debian has moved to multiarch support. Solution. Use Multiarch Multiarch support makes installing libraries from the i386 distribution easy... sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386 sudo aptitude update sudo aptitude install libstdc++6:i386 libgcc1:i386 zlib1g:i386 libncurses5:i386 Now launch eclipse, and everything should now work just fine.

Why do I get org.hibernate.HibernateException: IOException occurred reading a binary value
This is surely a problem with the database, not with hibernate. You have to look at the cause of the exception which is an exception thrown inside the h2 database code. Caused by: org.h2.jdbc.JdbcSQLException: IO Exception: "Missing lob entry: 5587/4" [90028-172] at org.h2.message.DbException.getJdbcSQLException(DbException.java:329) at org.h2.message.DbException.get(DbException.java:169) at org.h2.message.DbException.get(DbException.java:146) at org.h2.store.LobStorageBackend.readBlock(LobStorageBackend.java:203) at org.h2.store.LobStorageBackend$LobInputStream.fillBuffer(LobStorageBackend.java:692) Searching the internet for “h2 database Missing lob entry” shows that this is a h2 specific error message and answers like here: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!to

An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator
I'm afraid I don't have a proper picture of what exactly might have caused the problem in your case. But I just went through resolving the same error message on my system (2012 R2, IIS 8) (while searching for the solution I came across your post) And it turned out that what was causing my problems was the use of classic ASP parent paths (with "../" in them) Switching to absolute and virtual paths solved the issue for me. See here: http://www.iis.net/learn/application-frameworks/running-classic-asp-applications-on-iis-7-and-iis-8/classic-asp-parent-paths-are-disabled-by-default

I had many problems with SerialPort class in .NET 3.5 used on USB device and thus stopped using it (it sometimes crashed the whole APP through some different thread - uncatchable exception). From what I know, they have atleast fixed this problem in .NET 4.0, but: Try creating new SerialPort class + surround the Close() with try...catch. This is part of real code (notice the restarting attempts): (ComStream is my own middle class that can internally use three methods to access COM Ports: SerialPort, FileStreams or pure P/Invoke). protected void TxLoop() { #if DEBUG DBG.Line("COM{0} TxLoop started", port); #endif bool inacc = false; while(!IsDisposed) { try { if(com == null) { connected = TriState.No; PopAll(0);

IIS forgets virtual directory permissions - An error occurred loading a configuration file: Failed to start monitoring changes
For anyone else frustrated with the same issue - while I did not find the crux of the problem, I did figure out that this problem was related to the Identity of the Application Pool that the website was running under. In my case, the solution was to change the App Pool identity from the ApplicationPoolIdentity Built-in account to a custom account that is an administrator on all of the machines involved. To do this Right click on the application pool in IIS, Choose Advanced Properties. Under ProcessModel->Identity , choose Identity. Choose Custom Account (Built-in account, Application Pool Identity is the default in IIS 7.5) Switch to using a Custom Domain account, that is an administrator on this machine, as well as the machine where the virtual directory is hosted. Restart the App

e: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "java -jar bg.jar": CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file
I think the file not found error is that the system cannot find the "java" executable file. One way is to add the "java" directory path to the environment variable PATH. To find the variable, right click on the "My Computer"/Advanced system settings/Environment Variables/System variables. Then open a new console, run your Java program above. Alternative way is probably to load the jar file to your Java program. And then run the static main method in your Java codes. To dynamically load java files, see How to load a jar file at runtime. The class that contains the main method can be found by parsing the META-INF/MANIFEST.MF file in the jar file.

This similar to a known bug in DB2 - see http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21572529. However, it would appear that the bug was fixed in DB2 9.7 Fixpack 2, and you're on Fixpack 5, so maybe you're running in to a different issue. I would advise opening a PMR with IBM if the referenced document doesn't provide any assistance.

"An exception occurred while processing your request. Additionally, another exception occurred while executing the custom error page..."
First, set customErrors = "Off" in the web.config and redeploy to get a more detailed error message that will help us diagnose the problem. You could also RDP into the instance and browse to the site from IIS locally to view the errors. <system.web> <customErrors mode="Off" /> First guess though - you have some references (most likely Azure SDK references) that are not set to Copy Local = true. So, all your dependencies are not getting deployed. Get to the detailed error first and update your question. UPDATE: A second option now available in VS2013 is Remote Debugging a Cloud Service or Virtual Machine.

'System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException' occurred in mscorlib.dll
There seems to be no validation in the file content you're reading. .SubString() throws the ArgumentOutOfRangeException if the startIndex plus length indicates a position not within this instance. Therefore: RepDate = input.Substring(23, 6).Trim(); Could easily fail and throw this exception if the input only contains 10 characters.

not shure but I think you can't directly use the IsoStorageStream in the UI. try to write into a MemoryStream and use that memoryStream for the imageSource. //something like this using (var store = IsolatedStorageFile.GetUserStoreForApplication()) { using (var storeStream = store.OpenFile("file.bin", System.IO.FileMode.Open)) { var memoStream = new System.IO.MemoryStream(); storeStream.CopyTo(memoStream); return memoStream; } } otherwise, I don't understand why you do this : IsolatedStorageFile store = IsolatedStorageFile.GetUserStoreForApplication(); try { using (store = IsolatedStorageFile.GetUserStoreForApplication()) {...} } maybe another cause of bugs

A first chance exception of type SocketException occurred in System.dll
Could be a number of reasons. Or the exception is caused and handled within the .Net framework itself. So ignore it and see whether your application works. It could be the firewall. Turn it of to be sure. Are you sure you are connecting to the right host + port ? Is the host pingable in the network? Are you able to open the port with telnet?

An unhandled exception of type 'System.StackOverflowException' occurred
Well, your MainBox creates an ApplicationProperties, which in turn creates a MainBox, which creates an ApplicationProperties, and so on ad infinitum. Obviously you need to break up this cycle. As your code stands right now you would probably want to remove the new MainBox() for the properties form and inject it afterwards, for example: ApplicationProperties ApplicationPropertiesWindow = new ApplicationProperties(); ApplicationPropertiesWindow.MainBoxWindow = this; And public partial class ApplicationProperties : Form { public MainBox MainBoxWindow { get; set; } }

What does "An unhandled exception of type 'System.FormatException' occurred in mscorlib.dll" Mean?
Well I suspect the problem is this: Friend = System::Convert::ToInt32(FriendString); My guess is that FriendString isn't a valid integer. If this is user input, you should probably use Int32.TryParse so that you can detect this without resorting to exceptions. It's important to learn to read stack traces to see which method has failed and the last place in your code that's mentioned... and then diagnose the prolem further.

A first chance exception of type 'System.InvalidCastException' occurred in mscorlib.dll
First-chance exceptions happen when you are debugging and it is the .NET Framework's way of giving the debugger (i.e. Visual Studio) an opportunity to handle the problem. If the debugger is unable to resolve the first-chance exception, then it will become an exception that your code is expected to handle. If your code does not handle the exception, then ultimately the .NET Framework will handle it (i.e. yellow screen of death in ASP.NET). You can ignore first-chance exceptions, because they are intended for the debugger. In other words, your exception code (try-catch logic) will not let you interact with first-chance exceptions.

An unhandled exception of type 'System.UnauthorizedAccessException' occurred in mscorlib.dll
The error is pretty clear; your code is trying to step into a directory that you don't have access to - the c:$Recycle.BinS-1-5-18 directory (which, incidentally is the SID for Local System). It's rather unfortunate that this MSDN sample assumes that your program will have access to every single directory, which isn't very realistic. You can change your code to gracefully handle directories it doesn't have access to (catch the exception and keep on going). For example: if we change this line of the code sample: subSubDirs = subDir.GetDirectories(); Which is where I suspect you are getting that error to: try { subSubDirs = subDir.GetDirectories(); } catch (System.UnauthorizedAccessException) { subSubDirs = new DirectoryInfo[0]; } This will gracefully handle not being able to
