Android API for Google+ Photos
I finally found all the pieces for that I need. The end result is to use AccountManager to get the auth token and PicasawebService to do the rest. Though there are some annoying bug with adapting the class. I wrote up my little adventure here along with example code. http://roostertech.wordpress.com/2013/08/09/accessing-gphoto-android/

How can I upload multiple photos in one post on Google+ from G+ Android SDK?
It should work with addStream() method, unfortunately... it doesn't work. Indeed it makes the application crash. After a long search, I finally got it: it's not possible if using the simplified G+ SDK! (the one dedicated to Android). There is a second one, included in the Google API family that you can find there: http://code.google.com/p/google-api-java-client/wiki/APIs#Google+_API This one will let you build more advanced post, included, several pic one. Unfortunately the second SDK is much more low level, not dedicated to Android, it's a kind of Java abstraction over http request. Regards

Google+ API to get all the photos
There is currently no Google+ Photos API. The best you can do at this point is to use the Picasa Web API. For more information, see https://developers.google.com/picasa-web/

why can't I access iPad photos library?
On iPad you need to display UIImagePickerController embedded in UIPopoverController. You can't directly display it using presentViewController: If you are displaying camera then you can use presentViewController, else you need to use a popover for displaying the image picker in iPad. Reference: UIImagePickerController So instead of: [self presentViewController:imagePicker animated:YES completion:nil]; Use: UIPopoverController *photoPop = [[UIPopoverController alloc]initWithContentViewController:imagePicker]; [photoPop presentPopoverFromRect:CGRectMake(100,100,300,300) inView:self.view permittedArrowDirections:UIPopoverArrowDirectionDown animated:YES]; Check these tutorials: UIImagePickerController UIImagePickerController in iPad

UIImagePickerController needs access to photos in iOS6?
It doesn't matter which route you take to access the photos, if the user has denied access then none of the options will be permitted to access the photos. The authorisation messages may be a little misleading but the same permissions apply to both access methods.

try [ALAssetsLibrary authorizationStatus] == ALAuthorizationStatusAuthorized Make sure to include the "AssetsLibrary" framework in your project and add #import <AssetsLibrary/AssetsLibrary.h> to your file.

Access Photos of IPhone Automatically in java
the code new File("Apple IPhone") will not open your iphone's storage - you need to find a java API which can talk to the phone via itunes (this probably does not exist). File class in java is used to access the PC's local storage e.g. new File("c://windows") will create a reference to the 'windows' folder in c: drive

How does Google+ auto-backup my photos on iOS in the background?
From what I've observer, G+ app is using significant location change api to wake up app & update photo stream. See apple docs for technical info how to use this feature.

Using form input to access camera and immediately upload photos using web app
It's really easy to do this, simply send the file via an XHR request inside of the file input's onchange handler. <input id="myFileInput" type="file" accept="image/*;capture=camera"> var myInput = document.getElementById('myFileInput'); function sendPic() { var file = myInput.files[0]; // Send file here either by adding it to a `FormData` object // and sending that via XHR, or by simply passing the file into // the `send` method of an XHR instance. } myInput.addEventListener('change', sendPic, false);

Google Cloud Datastore access from Android
You can use the oath2 support built into android as long as every user of the app is an admin of your google cloud project/app engine app. If you want to allow untrusted users to upload data, you would have to use your own endpoint and authentication strategy.

On android, how can I give only Beta Users access without using Google APIs
Note that this is NOT for releasing Beta through Google. It's for doing it on your own. I'm beta testing a series of Chinese lesson apps right now and decided to use phone numbers to allow beta testers access. Note that you cannot always get a phone number from a phone device. But mostly you can. Here's the class that does the checking: package org.this_voice.ruzhechu01; import android.telephony.TelephonyManager; import android.content.Context; import java.util.Set; import java.util.HashSet; import java.util.Arrays; public class BetaPhoneCheck extends Object { private String accessGranted = "false"; private Context appContext = null; private static final Set<String> ACCESS_LIST = new HashSet<String> (Arrays.asList( new String[] {"2074583598"})); public BetaPhoneChe

Android: how create xml file that contains the list of albums and photos from gallery
I would suggest you to get some basic java experience as these problems are really common in the programming world and has almost nothing to do with Android. Anyway you should make a List that holds Album objects (model) and an Album object should contain a List that holds Photo objects (model). Then you can loop though the list by getting the number of photos/albums with the List.size() method. Good luck.

Google Cloud Endpoint work in Google APIs Explorer but not on Android (Bad Request)
It seems likely that the error is originating from Datastore, not Endpoints. Please double check that the URLs in both the Explorer and Android requests are identical, and also check any Datastore operations you're making in your test case. In particular, check to make sure if you create Datastore Key objects that they have names.

Upload image from Android to Google Cloud Storage or Google App Engine Blobstore
Long time ago when app engine existed, google cloud storage doesn't exists yet so the way to store blobs is with blobstore. Now it existed they made the api for blobstore work with google cloud storage as well. Both work with image serving/manipulations. But cloud storage I think is also built in cdn which serves to closest edge server while blobstore when downloading will be coming from your appengine instance. Uploading to either of this works the same way, from your client you need to request an upload url session where it will then be uploaded directly to blobstore/cloud storage when you post to that url send_to_client_url = blobstore.create_upload_url('/yourHandler') HttpClient.post file to send_to_client_url yourHandler recieves a blob row then store blobKey to your datastore as re

SERVICE_VERSION_UPDATE_REQUIRED and Google play service out of date while integrating Google Plus in android
I got this error simply because Google Play Services actually were out of date when running on the emulator. Apparently Google hasn't updated Google Play Services on "old" emulators (such as Android 4.2.2). Using the Google API 19 (Android 4.4) emulator works for me. Should work with Android 4.2.2 and other when running on a physical device though (where Google Play Services on the device is actually updated). Here's the issue thread regarding this problem: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=57880. The old emulators will likely not be updated. Question by user: Will the older API Level 17 be updated with a new Google Play services? Project member answer: Sorry, we're only committing to keeping the latest API up-to-date.

Google Cloud Messaging for Android library vs. Google Play Services
As far as I know, yes, the old one is deprecated (it says so here http://developer.android.com/reference/gcm-packages.html), but still works. I would recommend using the Play Services version, though, since it's MUCH easier to configure and use, and if you don't need G+ login or anything else you don't have to use it. Yes, your APK will be a little bit bigger, but I think it's worth it. Plus, any new features or improvements to the protocol will most likely be only for the Play Services library, and not for the old one.

Finally the problem was about artifacts naming and apklib not being generated in the apk library project. This is what was wrong: The groupId and artifactId in the library pom were wrong: they must fit the name specified in the error message (I should have read it more carefully). The right values: <groupId>com.google.android.gms</groupId> <artifactId>google-play-services</artifactId> Instead of the ones generated by eclipse when converting the project to maven, which were based on the project name: <groupId>google-play-services_lib</groupId> <artifactId>google-play-services_lib</artifactId> The apklib is not generated with mvn compile, the right instruction for that is mvn package. This way the apklib file gets generated in targe
