This might be your issue: div.navigation-wrapper { top: 0px; left: 0px; right: 0px; } You should only specify either left or right values, not both. Also, I don't really know because there is no way to test my code because you have not given us much context, as Barmar noted.

XML Error when running on MAC Snow Leopard
Recent versions of XML::LibXML have string overloading for XML::LibXML::Element objects. So the following script would show different output with different XML::LibXML versions: use strict; use warnings; use XML::LibXML; my $doc = XML::LibXML->new->parse_string(<<EOF); <test> <foo>hello</foo> </test> EOF my($node) = $doc->findnodes('/test/foo'); print $node, " "; On an old system with XML::LibXML 1.69 installed the output is: XML::LibXML::Element=SCALAR(0x8259700) On a newer system with 2.0014 installed the output is: <foo>hello</foo>

Desperately trying to build open source tools (octave) on a Mac 10.6 Snow Leopard (involves Xcode, gcc, fink)
You can still get XCode. You just have to be registered on Apple Developer, but you do not have to pay for the license. You then download it through the Mac App store, or you can get a link that opens it in the App store here. Finally, you have to install the command line tools from within Xcode. These can be found under the Components tab of the Download Preferences panel. Let me know if that does not help. My iMac running 10.6 is currently in for repairs, so I am on my 10.7 laptop and cannot test all the specifics yet.

VideoJS 'controls' causing video to not play correctly in Firefox (v18.0.1) on OSX (Mountain Lion)
The players you're describing in firefox and safari sound like the native video players for each browser. In other words, you're not actually using video.js. Question 1 Once you get it working, you'll notice that the players should look identical to one another in Safari and Firefox. Without seeing your code it's hard to say why your video.js player isn't getting initialized, but you need to do one of the following: Include a data-setup='' tag in your video element, which you can use to specify options via a JSON value. Have a separate script that calls _V_("video id", {}) once the page has loaded. I recommend you use the second option since you have some additional setup to handle (see: below) Question 2 The big play button you want is automatically hidden when controls are turned

Video encryption for local software
No, this is not a good approach. Your assumption is that the CD will be copied, but your player won't. This is quite unlikely. In general those files can be played by other applications anyway (if you'd encrypt the files, they wouldn't be AVI files anymore). You could scramble the video, though, so other applications can play it but it just looks entirely wrong. Can be as simple as flipping the R and G channels in RGB. No, because the idea is flawed to start with. See point 1. There is probably snake oil for sale, though. Keep in mind that your budget is about a billion times smaller than Hollywood's. They'd want the same DRM as you want, and still couldn't get it.

is there software for jar file copy protection, or licensing software
Copy protection can't prevent your file to be copied but you can make it fail when it is run on unlicensed machines. Selection of a copy protection mechanism is a matter of budget and time. There are many companies with many products. You can go with not yet cracked technologies like iLok etc. This is applicable for very high revenue cases. But if your target audience is less than 1000 people then a simple in-house solution might work. Consequence of a complex method is typically many calls to support line and unhappy customers. Things got a lot easier after clients are all connected to internet. You can make some simple parts to run on server which a cracker would never dive into for a replacement. Or the app might download the contents from server after installation. Latter is what I d

makeCluster function in R snow hangs indefinitely
Unfortunately, there are a lot of things that can go wrong when creating a snow (or parallel) cluster object, and the most common failure mode is to hang indefinitely. The problem is that makeSOCKcluster launches the cluster workers one by one, and each worker (if successfully started) must make a socket connection back to the master before the master proceeds to launch the next worker. If any of the workers fail to connect back to the master, makeSOCKcluster will hang without any error message. The worker may issue an error message, but by default any error message is redirected to /dev/null. In addition to ssh problems, makeSOCKcluster could hang because: R not installed on a worker machine snow not installed on a the worker machine R or snow not installed in the same location as the

Results of workers not returned properly - snow - debug
The checkForRemoteErrors function is called by parLapply and clusterApply to check for task errors, and it will throw an error if any of the tasks failed. Unfortunately, although it displays the error message, it doesn't provide any information about what worker code caused the error. But if you modify your worker/task function to catch errors, you can retain some extra information that may be helpful in determining where the error occurred. For example, here's a simple snow program that fails. Note that it uses outfile='' when creating the cluster so that output from the program is displayed, which by itself is a very useful debugging technique: library(snow) cl <- makeSOCKcluster(2, outfile='') problem <- function(i) { if (NA) j <- 999 else j <- i 2 * j } r

video set to "true" in Skype video chat URI, but video is not enabled when call starts
I see you've figured out that there seems to be a problem with video call in the newest versions of Skype for android and ios. Maybe the new apps treat video calls as a conference call even if it's a 1 to 1 call (which isn't supported as stated in the skype api/uri doc), I suggest you report this problem to MS through for example appstore (not sure if there's similar possibility to do so in google play?) and mention the same bug happens on android. If you need something to work ASAP while waiting for MS to fix the bug I'll suggest a solution but it might not be worth the time you'll need to spend in order for a working implementation. But I'll leave that up to you to consider. What you could do is send an message (or just do a regular call) to the remote sentry with an unique message ie

IE10 not playing a video when using the
When you paste the URL to your browser it doesn't use HTML5 player anymore, so it doesn't say that it is really a supported file; only that the file path should be valid. According to wikipedia, IE10 supports (not only) H.264 for video and AAC for audio - these are very common formats for mp4 container. Chrome's support is much wider (video- and audio-wise). The problem is that the Intro.mp4 file might have different formats altogether (the file could by just renamed or created using unsupported formats). I'd look into the file using properties->details or third party programs (for example Media Info). I don't think it is IE10's issue. The only similar one I've found is when the user was too specific using unsupported format of used codecs ([...] type='video/mp4; codecs="H.264, AAC"'

SublimeClang OSX Mountain Lion C++11
It may be too late, but I found how to do it. This matter is because clang uses headers for gcc-4.2, which is quite old and doesn't support C++11. To complete C++11 code, you have to get newer gcc and copy the include path it uses. If you have homebrew, open terminal and type brew tap homebrew/versions brew install gcc48 You can install gcc-4.8 and new libstdc++ with these two lines. Now, create some c++ file and try to use g++-4.8 with -v option. g++-4.8 -v example.cpp -v option tell gcc to show detailed log. In the output, there should be some lines like this. #include <...> search starts here: /usr/local/Cellar/gcc48/4.8.1/gcc/lib/gcc/x86_64-apple-darwin12.4.1/4.8.1/../../../../include/c++/4.8.1 /usr/local/Cellar/gcc48/4.8.1/gcc/lib/gcc/x86_64-apple-darwin12.4.1/4.8.1/

Two versions of PHP - Mountain Lion
Your Apache is including libphp5.so of the wrong/the other installation. Option 1: See if you can find a libphp5.so file for your other PHP installation and point the Apache config to it (just put the whole path in the LoadModule line and restart Apache). If you cannot find such a file, the Apache module wasn't compiled for that PHP version. Compiling that may be a bit complicated, so in that case: Option 2: Figure out which PHP you're executing on the command line using which php and then just use the other one using the full path, e.g. instead of $ php ... use $ /usr/bin/php .... Note that you may still have different PHP configuration files for Apache and the CLI.

Is it possible to comment out a line of PHP code containing special "special" characters?
The reason why you are getting a strange output is because of the particular ?> in your regex. In this case, PHP is interpreting that as the end of the script, because the rest of the code is commented out. To answer your question directly, in this case, you cannot comment out that particular line of code without editing it. You would have to remove the ?> portion of the regex in order for the script to continue to run normally. Edit: Additionally, it would work if you encapsulated the comment in /* */ according to this post. However, because the regex has */ it is prematurely ending the block style comment, thus still breaking out of PHP mode and returning to HTML mode.

Does anybody know how to sniff in promiscuous mode on OS X Lion?
I recall having to setup a script on terminal to "tweak the permissions" of some files / drivers That's probably referring to the permissions on the /dev/bpf* devices. That's not something necessary to sniff in promiscuous mode, it's something necessary to sniff at all unless you're running as root. Recent versions of Wireshark, going back at least to Wireshark 1.8.0, install a script to do that automatically. Open up a Terminal window and do ls -l /dev/bpf*; it should report the /dev/bpf* devices, e.g. /dev/bpf0, /dev/bpf1, etc. as having permissions rw-rw---- and as being owned by root and group access_bpf. In addition, the id command should report you as being a member of group access_bpf. If that's all the case, Wireshark should show an en0 device and possibly an en1 device.
