Extracting Member who did not contribute
When you add conditions to the where clause for tables that are left joined, you effectively turn them into an inner join, requiring them to return records. You can move the conditions to the join itself: SELECT moiid, trim(concat(name.fname,' ' ,name.mname,' ',name.lname)) as Brother, name.moiid as Members_ID, sum(otherpay.othpayamt) as NO_Contribution, quadlt.ltfname as quad FROM name LEFT JOIN OTHERPAY ON name.moiid = otherpay.othpaymoiid AND Otherpay.othpaytitle like '%food drive%' LEFT JOIN quadlt ON name.quadlt = quadlt.ltid WHERE otherpay.othpaymoiid IS NULL AND name.type = 'BOI' AND name.type <> 'jrboi' AND name.city = 'SUFFOLK' GROUP BY brother ORDER BY name.quadlt, brother

How to contribute to a list property of a bean using Spring?
I think that code should not know about Spring if it is not really needed. Therefore I would do all initialization in Spring config. We can use bean definition inheritance and property overriding to do it. Framework class public class Manager { private List<AnInterface> theList; public void init() { // here we use list initialized by product } } Framework context <bean id="manager" init-method="init" abstract="true" class="Manager"> <property name="theList"> <list/> <!-- this will be overriden or extnded --> </property> </bean> Product A context <bean id="managerA" parent="manager" scope="singleton" lazy-init="false"> <property name="theList"&

Error while publishing my existing app to the App Store
I've ran into this issue before. First, what's happening here is that the Apple provided command line tool which validates the binary is catching an exception when its doing its checks. The validator doesn't actually run your app, so any error probably isn't in any specific code file but one of the "metadata" files for your app. Probably, the error is in your info.plist file. When it processes that, its expecting a string for a value, but is instead getting a dictionary from the plist. When I ran into an issue it was an issue with the CFBundleIcons key in the info plist. The code change that fixed it is below. From this: <key>CFBundleIconFiles</key> <array> <dict> <key>CFBundleIconFiles</key> <array> <string&g

Error in publishing the configuration in Eclipse
It seems you has any problem with your Tomcat configuration and it can't find these path (C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Tomcat 6.0/). If you are using any Eclipse plugin, try to modify the tomcat home path in Window -> Preferences -> Tomcat. Other posible solution could be to configure properly your CATALINA_HOME and JAVA_HOME system variables. I hope this helps you. Javier

Message publishing error using Kombu and Rabbitmq
After banging my head against my desk I figured out that Python didn't like the calling of the exchange. Then my coworker told me that it might work better if I include the exchange and routing key in the publisher. So now my new code looks like this. # Creates the exchange and queue and binds them # If already created on the server side these steps are not needed exchange = Exchange("test_exchange", "direct", durable=True) queue = Queue("test_q", exchange = exchange, routing_key = "test") # The last foreword slash is the virtual host with Connection("amqp://username:password@hostname:5672/", "/") as conn: channel = conn.channel() producer = Producer(channel, exchange = exchange, serializer="json") for key, value in json_data.items(): producer.publish(exchange = exch

Publishing in parallel for different WP versions vs publishing for different android versions
The Windows Phone and Android market do share some similarities when it comes to development and devices. As there are Android devices (either old or low end) that only run 2.2 or 2.3 and will never see 4.x and above, Windows Phone has many millions of devices that run WP7.5/7.8 that will never run 8.x. Making a decision as to which version of WP to support (or both) comes down to many factors, here are just a few... Does your target market still contain a large % of WP7 devices Does WP7 have all the features your app needs or do you need the newer APIs provided by WP8 (nearly all WP7 apps run on WP8)? Do you have the time/resources to make a WP7 and WP8 app (you can share resource between the two, so you’re not making two separate apps) Publishing When publishing apps, the Dev C

Error trying to save image in file system in Azure Server - A generic error occurred in GDI+
I'm guessing that the issue is with the f drive. You'll find that, occasionally, e: and f: may change upon restart. Since you claimed that things were working, and then suddenly started crashing, I'm thinking that, if you rdp into your role instance, you'll find that approot is now on e: instead of f:. There should be an environment variable, RoleRoot, that you can use for determining what drive your approot is on: Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable("RoleRoot");

How do I save a ruby file? (error)
You are most likely not in the right folder. You somehow need to tell the ruby interpreter where it is looking for the file. Either make sure you're in the right folder - the cd command allows you to change location: cd C:UsersUsernameDesktop ruby Matz.rb or specify the path explicitly: ruby C:UsersUsernameDesktopMatz.rb By default, the ruby interpreter will look in your current directory (the location shown in your prompt) for whatever filename you give it. Edit: I'll attempt to explain what I mean step-by-step. When you initially open the command prompt, it will indicate what folder you are in (your "current working directory") in the prompt: C:UsersYourUsername > In the above example, you are working in the C:UsersYourUsername folder. You can move directories using the

Publishing ivy file without jar
Normally the publications section of an ivy file doesn't list the ivy file, it's assumed this is automatically published. It does appear that you're picking up the default type for a published artifact, which would be a jar :-( I'm assuming you're doing this in order to leverage the new extends feature in the child modules? And you're trying to emulate a "pom" parent module in Maven? I wonder if it's supported by ivy...

Emacs desktop-save-mode error
Set debug-on-error to t in your init file. Rename or remove the byte-compiled file desktop.elc, so the source file, desktop.el is loaded -- that will give you a better debug backtrace. When the error is raised a backtrace will be shown in the debugger (buffer *Backtrace*). That will give more info about what is causing the error, which in this case is the fact that frameset is expecting a number or marker and received nil instead. Also, be sure you have updated Emacs, if you are using a development snapshot, because the frameset.el code is still being developed (it is brand new). You can show your backtrace here. It might be that there is a bug in frameset.el that needs to be reported. If so, M-x report-emacs-bug is the way to do that. But try to investigate a bit first. AFTER YOUR

save string to variable, gets builtin_function error
I'm trying to save 5 names to a variable Not the best description. Better: "I'm trying to create a dictionary with 5 strings in it." but i get an error ord is a built in function. It is not a dictionary, unless you have assigned to this name before (You don't have ord = {} in your code). Certain IDEs, like the PyDev plugin for eclipse, would have warned you about such errors. Pick another name, and initialize it: d = {} k = 0 while k < 5: s = input("name: ") d[k] = s k += 1 (sum is a built-in too.) If you are using python2.x, you should use raw_input() instead of input(). This code, by the way, can be written like this: d = {} for k in range(5): d[k] = input("name: ") or even shorter: d = { k:input('name: ') for k in range(5) } and since the

error using SQLite to save and return data
Got a few suggestions here. SQLite is a bit different from regular SQL =) Your first datab.execSQL("CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS MainData (Salafig INT);"); should look like the following: datab.execSQL("CREATE TABLE MainData (Salafig INTEGER);"); SQLite won't overwrite your table if it already exists, and integer is used in place of int. Your second query datab.execSQL("INSERT INTO MainData VALUES (@salary);"); should be replaced with: ContentValues values = new ContentValues(); values.put("Salafig", salary); datab.insert("MainData", null, values); Lastly your bn.setText(c.getString(c.getColumnIndex("Salafig"))); should be replaced with: bn.setText(c.getInt("Salafig") + "");

WCF Service, how do I tell if I am publishing WSDL or MEX?
and when browsing to it shows that default page, with a link to serviceblahblah?wsdl which suggests I am publishing just the WSDL. No, you are just visiting the WSDL. What else do you expect to see on that URL? ;-) The httpGetEnabled attribute enables the publishing of WSDL metadata. As shown in the mexHttpBinding documentation and Getting Started, if you want to expose MEX, you also have to expose a MEX endpoint you can then access: <!-- the mex endpoint is explosed[sic] at http://localhost/servicemodelsamples/service.svc/mex --> <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexHttpBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange" /> Clients, when discovering your service, will try to call the /mex endpoint first. If not found, they will request the WSDL. You can

How to use less CPU in a thread (mainly) responsible for publishing
It's not clear what API or technology you use, but I would guess there should be a blocking alternative, such as var message = SQLQueue.Dequeue(); In general case this will block a thread until a message is read from a queue. This shall not consume any CPU when there is nothing to read. If you use Zeromq (from comment) there is a blocking call on the server (taken from here) // ZMQ Context, server socket using (ZmqContext context = ZmqContext.Create()) using (ZmqSocket server = context.CreateSocket(SocketType.REP)) { server.Bind("tcp://*:5555"); while (true) { // Wait for next request from client string message = server.Receive(Encoding.Unicode); ... RabbitMQ: Publishing from an ASP.NET MVC application
What you must not do is allow a channel to be used by more than one thread, so keeping channels open over several requests is a bad idea. IModel instances are cheap to create, but not free, so there are a couple of approaches you can take: The safest thing to do is simply to create a channel each time you want to publish and close it again straight away. Something like this: using(var model = connection.CreateModel()) { var properties = model.CreateBasicProperties(); model.BasicPublish(exchange, routingKey, properties, msg); } You can keep the connection open for the lifetime of the application, but be sure to detect if you loose the connection and have code to reconnect. The downside with this approach is that you have the overhead of creating a channel for each publish. Th

Exclude Tablets from APK publishing
If I can target phones and exclude tablets, i'm happy. Whether or not a device supports telephony has little to do with whether it is a "phone" or a "tablet". If you need telephony, add <uses-feature android:name="android.hardware.telephony" /> to your manifest. This is implied by holding the SEND_SMS permission, so if you have SEND_SMS, you will already be restricted to devices with telephony capability.

Publishing ASP.NET vs. copying files
It used to be that you copying files was not good enough, because you needed to create a virtual directory/Application within the IIS configuration system for your applications. Recent versions of IIS allow you to handle this entirely within the app.config, and so it's much less of an issue.
