Remote PHP Debugging with Netbeans and XDebug (remote server)
Remember you need to set the Path Mapping in the Debugger tab inside Netbeans Options. Another little big problem I was having when trying to connect from NetBeans remotely was the SSH tunnel. You have to creat it for the port xdebug will work on, 9000 usually. If you experience network problems for a moment, the tunnel might "break" silently and NetBeans will be stuck in the holy "Waiting for connection..." state. In putty, you can right click and Restart Session, but this won't work. You will need to close the putty window and re open the session for it to work again. Hope it helps!

Remote debugging on pycharm
For remote debug you need to copy the sources to your local machine, set up a project, configure deployment to the remote machine and add remote Python interpreter to run and debug on the remote system. It's not possible to work with the source files that are not on the machine where PyCharm is running. You can find details about deployment and remote interpreter configuration in PyCharm help.

Eclipse Remote debugging with jboss
What you are asking is not specific to either Java EE or JBoss 4.x - you can debug any Java process in case you specified the remote debugging runtime parameters when starting the JVM. In your setting the -Xdebug parameter is missing, so your line would be: JAVA_OPTS="$JAVA_OPTS -Xdebug -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=8787,server=y,suspend=n" Now it should be able to connect, in case you are using the correct host and your specified port 8787. In case it's still not working, it's most likely a firewall issue blocking the port.

Remote debugging Beaglebone from a 64 bit machine
As far as I know the BeagleBone uses an ARM processor. You'll have to get the ARM version (more precise: version for debugging ARM processors) of GDB to debug - you cannot do this with the x86 version. For Windows the ARM version is available in the "WinARM" packet. Maybe for Linux such a packet does not exist and you'll have to re-compile GDB.

Remote debugging threads with different debuggers
I'm not sure I've got a good answer to your question, but let's see how it pans out. As I understand it you want to allow different developers to debug their class alone, and their class runs as a thread as part of a single Java process. On the face of it that sort of runs counter to the nature of debugging in that normally you have access to everything in the process. I don't imagine that Java is any different to any other language in this respect (I'm no Java programmer). So how about running the classes in separate Java processes. That way I presume the standard Eclipse tools would allow each developer to remote attach and debug their class. However I presume that these classes need to interact with each other in some way, otherwise you wouldn't be asking your question in the first

When debugging at a remote location, how do we use hosts file to do that?
All a hosts file can do is associate a hostname (like dev1-foo.my-company.com) to an IP address (like 10.1.1.5). This can be enormously useful if: Your DNS doesn't have an entry for the host you need (e.g. "dev1") ... or .. You want to override DNS (substitute your own "dev1", e.g. for testing) This is all TCP/IP - it has nothing directly to do with higher-level protocols like HTTP or AJAX. 'Hope that helps ..

How to set up remote debugging for symfony2 with phpstorm and xdebug
i've just finished setting up my local symfony2 app and phpstorm debugging with Chrome, here is what i've done: 1) config xdebug in php.ini on the server and restart web server (or php-fpm): [xdebug] zend_extension="**location to xdebug**/xdebug.so" xdebug.remote_enable = 1 ; use port 9009 because php-fpm uses 9000 by default xdebug.remote_port = 9009 xdebug.idekey = PHPSTORM 2) install xdebug extension https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/xdebug-helper/eadndfjplgieldjbigjakmdgkmoaaaoc 3) setup xdebug exteions. in chrome://extensions find Xdebug helper and click options. there select IDE key to PhpStorm. Using Chromium Remote Debugging from External Device
I've successfully used RInetD for easy port-forwarding in Windows 7, tried this and it worked like a charm, externally debugging a Chrome browser in Windows from a Chrome in Mac/Ubuntu. You can download rinetd from: http://www.boutell.com/rinetd/ Unzip the file, create an empty file with any name (I used rinetd.conf), with this content: 0.0.0.0 9223 127.0.0.1 9222 The in Windows console run it with: rinetd.exe -c rinetd.conf And voila!

Android Remote Debugging not working on Windows 7
I know this is an older question, but I thought I would post my resolution - I had to enable Developer mode on my Galaxy Note tablet. VC++2012 Remote Debugging on a x86 Windows Xp Machine
Well, you can do it with Debugging Tools for Windows, for which support has been added in Visual Studio 2012. You should also have Windows DDK 8.0 installed, after VS2012 is. Then, you should install "X86 Debuggers And Tools-x86_en-us.msi" package on the target (XP) machine, configure firewalls properly (better disable completely) and attach using new "Windows User-Mode Transport" (WinDDK adds it). Now you can do usual F10/F11/Shift-F11 stepping. However, there's one rotten apple in a bunch - Windows Debugger works W-A-A-Y slow, stepping from line to line with 5 to 10 seconds delays... For me, it's unacceptable, so I'm still debugging in VS2010 with all its bugs (ha-ha).

Remote debugging production IIS on Azure virtual machine
According to this MSDN article, Debugging over the internet is not supported. Instead you are advised to use IntelliTrace to run your app and then follow execution from the IntelliTrace log. Note that this requires Visual Studio Ultimate. The other alternative that I am aware of is to set up a VPN to allow you to attach the debugger in the normal fashion.

Java remote debugging, eclipse can't stay connected
Normally on the listening process I use: -Xdebug -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=4044,server=y,suspend=n You have to start the process correctly E.g. for tomcat JPDA_OPTS="-agentlib:jdwp=transport=dt_socket,address=4000,server=y,suspend=n" catalina.sh jpda start using a wrapper as tanuki: http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.com/doc/english/prop-java-detect-debug-jvm.html If you read it The Wrapper has several features which are designed to detect when a JVM has frozen, or otherwise become unstable. Normally these features should all be left enabled. However, when a JVM is connected to a debugger, it is common for the JVM to intentionally be frozen as various debugging operations take place. In these cases, the Wrapper would normally think the JVM was f

Netbeans & Eclipse hang when I attempt remote EC2 debugging via Xdebug
This feels like a networking issue to me. Port 9000 may not be accessible. The quickest way to test is to telnet to port 9000 on the remote system (if you have a telnet client installed that allows you to specify which port to telnet to). If the telnet attempt times out or is closed by the remote system you will see the error and this verifies that there is a networking issue. I would check /etc/services to make sure that port 9000 is not reserved for use of something else. If port 9000 exists and is uncommented then something else is using the port and that services does not know how to respond to your request so it hangs. I would do a netstat (lookup params to see "all" listening ports) and make sure the remote system is listening on port 9000. If you don't see port 9000 then the re

Configure Firewall for Remote Debugging Dialog pops up for local database
This is generally required when you are connecting from a different computer rather than where the database engine exists. But I have observed that the problem also can occur if you are specifying computer name or ip address instead of specifying loop back address (127.0.0.1) or (local) as server name even though the database engine is on local machine. In such case, the debugger needs to be configured. Details of how to configure are here

Stop Debugging (Shift+F5) causing debugging to restart
I too have this happen to me sometimes, and I too have disabled StickyKeys. I even see this sometimes when I have locked my computer. When this happens and I try to type in my password, the computer acts like I am pressing down control. My only suggestion is to use the menus to stop Debugging, and then gently tap the Control key twice, and then try again. It always stops when I do this. In the back of my mind, I wonder if it is due to conflicts of third-party utilities that intercept key combos for their triggers. SnagIt, Freesnap, AutoHotKey are three that I use, but when the problem is so intermittent, you can't really disable them and say, "yup, my problem went away."

merge remote branches before it gets merged to remote/master?
Whether or not you'll have a merge "problem" depends on what happens on the upstream master prior to the owner merging in branchA. However, regardless of what happens, once branchA does get merged into the upstream master, you can just run the following in your local copy and be "up-to-date": git checkout master git fetch upstream git reset --hard upstream/master This combination will ensure your local copy of master points to the same commit as the upstream copy of master. Since you would do this after the owner merged branchA into the upstream master, your local master will, effectively, still have the changes introduced by branchA. update If you want to make changes to branchA prior to merging into master, I would recommend you create your own branch based on branchA and make your

Syncing remote fork with remote master
Your local repository is a clone of your fork, so that is your origin. You need to pull from your remote repository and push to your fork. Assuming that you are on your master branch locally you can pull any changes from the upstream repository (the one that you forked from) git pull upstream master Then once you have resolved any merge issues etc you can push the changes to your fork. git push origin master how will you get any changes into your company repository of you only do this? And if you're not going to be making any changes why not just clone your company repository and do away with the fork? Edit. If you want to sync all of the remote branches you can do git remote update Which will fetch all of the remote branches. Then you can push to your origin.

Error unable to connect to remote server when upload file to remote server
Using the FTP protocol requires a dedicated FTP server software running on the remote machine. FTP cannot access network drives without it. If you just want to access files on your network, start with this SO question: Copying files to a mapped drive while user is not logged in (scheduled task) For security reasons, I strongly recommend a few steps before: a) Do not open root shares like C$. b) Create specific shares on your "remote" server, where you grant access only to users for that specific purpose. is there a way to save css/js changes of remote resource between page reloads or map remote resource to local in devtools?
You got most of it, but here's the slight change: Make a change in the Styles pane (or in Sources), then click over to Sources, and when your modified file is open, hit ctrl-s. Then you can right-click the asset in the Sources list and hit Save As... and save the new modified file to disk. There is no way to save a modified remote file without persisting it to disk and expect it to be changed on reload.

Gdb on MacOSX lion brew install https://raw.github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-dupes/master/gdb.rb Then I needed codesign. ==> ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/Cellar/gdb/7.6 --with-python=/usr --with-system-readline ==> make ==> make install ==> Caveats gdb requires special privileges to access Mach ports. You will need to codesign the binary. For instructions, see: http://sourceware.org/gdb/wiki/BuildingOnDarwin Or you can just run gdb from sudo. Gdb 7.0 could be compiled and built on my Mac, but it doesn't correctly debug the program. I hope next version of gdb on Mac will solve the issues.

Issue with the debugging in php
The error is in this statement mysql_query("INSERT INTO e_x_1 (delta_of_reading) VALUES (b'$dif')"); It should be something like: mysql_query("INSERT INTO e_x_1 (delta_of_reading) VALUES ('b" . $dif . You can return error code and check for the successful execution of the query. function saveDelta($dif) { if( mysql_query("INSERT INTO e_x_1 (delta_of_reading) VALUES ('b" . $dif . "')") ){ return true; //on success } else { return false; //on failure } } And in your while loop check as: if( saveDelta(decbin($diffrence) === false ){ //print error and return or do whatever you like to do }
