insert a data to particular cell in a wpf datagrid in c#
First you need a class containing the various Properties you want to be displayed. I assume, since you already have a UserList, that the class is User (and implements INotifyPropertyChanged), and that the UserList is the list containing all the data. First, if you want to add new users to UserList, and make the DataGrid update, the UserList variable needs to be of type ObservableCollection. Then, in XAML, you bind the UserList up to the DataGrid. There is lot's of information on how to do this, but the simplest way is to set the DataContext to the class containing the UserList, and then just have the DataGrid as follows: <DataGrid ItemSource="{Binding UserList}"/> Then, to change the values, just edit the property of the user, not the grid. for(int i=0; i< UserList.Count; i+

how do i get a datagrid value into an array and insert it to database
You can use linq. var array=DGVpop30300.Rows.Cast<DataGridViewRow>().Select(row => row.Cells.Cast<DataGridViewCell>().Select(cell => cell.Value.ToString()).ToArray()).ToArray(); Now you have a two dimensional string array containing the required values. Iterate through it to get the required values.

VB.NET-A way to insert rows into datagrid or datatable
If I understand your question which isn't very clear, the user is entering values that you want to query against rows in your database and if they exist, display some corresponding data or message. It sounds like what you want to do is bind your datagrid to a datasource, in my example an in-memory datatable, then intercept the data binding via DataGridView1.CellFormatting to compare/modify your data accordingly. Private Sub Button1_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click Dim sqlConnection As SqlConnection Dim sqlConnectionString As String = "YourConnectionString" Dim sqlDataAdapter As SqlDataAdapter Dim dataTable As New DataTable Dim sqlCommand As SqlCommand Dim sqlString As String Try sqlString = "SELECT * FROM YourTable" 'if u

DataGrid edition 'EditItem' is not allowed for this view` when bound to a WPF DataGrid
I tried this and the problem is that you have initialized your Level2 collection as Hashset<>. IEditableCollectionView.EditItem() throws this error while trying to update item in Hashset<>. I initialized the collection as List<> and it was working fine. I am not sure why it is not able to update item in hashset, need to look deeper into it. But changing the Hashset<> to List<> will fix this error. Hope it helps Thanks

Silverlight Datagrid scrolling, DataGrid fires RowLoading event
The RowLoading event is fired because rows are virtualized. With virtualization, rows are created (and loaded) only when they are visible on screen. So every time you scroll down or up a new row is created, loaded and the RowLoading event fired. To disable the virtualization you can try to set this property: VirtualizingStackPanel.VirtualizationMode="Standard" Be aware that this can slow down the performance of your grid if you have a lot of rows.

Binding ComboBoxColumn to collection from DataGrid's ItemsSource in WPF DataGrid
MSDN: DataGridComboboxColumns says: To populate the drop-down list, first set the ItemsSource property for the ComboBox by using one of the following options: A static resource. For more information, see StaticResource Markup Extension. An x:Static code entity. For more information, see x:Static Markup Extension. An inline collection of ComboBoxItem types. So basically to just bind to data object`s collection property it`s better to use DataGridTemplateColumn: <DataGridTemplateColumn Header="Log"> <DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <ComboBox ItemsSource="{Binding log}" /> </DataTemplate> </DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> </DataGridTemplateColumn> This type of c

Validating A WPF Datagrid Against Data From Another Datagrid
From Microsoft official WPF course materials: ValidationRules are only to be used as simple validations (For instance Required fields, numeric formats, etc). If you need advanced / complex Business Rules validation, you should either implement IDataErrorInfo or create your own validation mechanism (that's what I did and it works like a charm)

Copying data from a datagrid view to a new form with a new datagrid view VB
"Error 1 Reference to a non-shared member requires an object reference." As this message says: You need a instance of form2 - object of type form2created with New sub, which you created inside of BTN_Next_Click. But local variable frm_PI_01 can be used only inside of that function. With name of class form2 you can used only Shared member or functions/subs MSDN Shared members in VB My opinion if you need transfer some information/variables from form to another then in your case(when you transfer data only once when creating form) use a parameters in form constructors. Binding datagrid in datagrid
You have problem with DataContext here. In RowDetailsTemplate you trying to binding to a property in main view model, but DataContext of RowDetailsTemplate is the row item. If you want to binding to property in your main view model you should use RelativeSource binding. Try this: <DataGrid ItemsSource="{Binding Path=Files}" SelectedItem="{Binding Path=DataContext.CurentFile, RelativeSource={RelativeSource Mode=FindAncestor, AncestorType=Window}}" AutoGenerateColumns="False" > ...

How can embed datagrid in datagrid
I don't think it's possible. You can indeed manually replace a cell with the HTML of another grid (your "child" grid), but Dojo maintains its data in a store. Your store won't be "aware" of any changes you make in the DOM nodes of your grid, and inserting a DataGrid in a store isn't possible either since the DataGrid maps its columns to properties of the data objects.

You can either: set on $category field set cascade={"PERSIST"} in @ManyToMany. This requires no chnages to controller itself but it depends on whether you like defining cascades. persist Category object manually before persisting ProductDetail. $em = ...; // your entity manager // first, manually persist any category that is found foreach ( $productDetail->getCategory() as $c ){ $em->persist($c); } // then, persist top-level object $em->persist($productDetail); // finally, flush everything $em->flush(); Hope this helps a bit...

how to write insert statements for one to many relationships tables to insert with dataTable
If you are using a Dataset and DataAdapter, you shouldn't be issuing all those statements. Each data adapter needs only know how to update its records. When you update the parent, the identity value will be put into your dataset automatically and the child records will automatically be set (assuming you set up your relationships correctly.) After that, you update the child tables. Read some of the comments in this SO thread, there are some good code snippets there.

Are there technical benefits of UPDATE OR INSERT commands over DELETE ALL and INSERT?
That's usually what I do when it comes time to update options like that. It's generally easier to start a transaction, nuke the old options list, then insert the new options as selected by the user. It may be two queries, but they're easy queries. The other option is to manually build a "changes" list - figure out what's new, figure out what's removed, and then delete the remove/insert the new ones. That's generally a lot more execution overhead, just to accomplish the same thing. And you'd STILL be running two queries anyways.

before insert trigger for insert duplicate rows into another table
As far as you trigger concerned there are several problems: you don't have ; after insert statement IF statement should end with END IF and a semicolon, not just END you have to change a delimiter with DELIMITER command use EXISTS() rather then COUNT() That being said your trigger might look like DELIMITER $$ CREATE TRIGGER tblspmaster_noduplicate BEFORE INSERT ON tblspmaster FOR EACH ROW BEGIN IF (EXISTS(SELECT * FROM tblspmaster WHERE sp = NEW.sp)) THEN INSERT INTO tblspduplicate (sp,FileImported,AMZFileName) VALUES (NEW.sp, NEW.FileImported, NEW.AMZFileName); END IF; END$$ DELIMITER ; Here is SQLFiddle demo Use IGNORE clause in your LOAD DATA INFILE statement. MySql will treat errors (violating unique constraint) as warnings effectively discarding duplicates.

Why does my multithreaded insert perform better than a single threaded insert?
When a write happens in MongoDB the actual write lock is only held for a small fraction of the total time it takes to complete. As it turns out writing to data files in RAM only takes microseconds (micro, not milli). The rest of the time "other" stuff is going on - this is why you will get best performance if you have a lot more than one or a handful of threads - in most situations the limiting factor will be something like network bandwidth or disk IO or CPU (once you have enough threads) and not the lock. If you have enough threads throwing writes at mongod and the documents are very small, the disk is fast (for flushing all the written data to disk) and there is enough RAM for handling related index updates then the database lock can become the limiting factor for your write throughpu

Does INSERT IGNORE lock the table even if it ignores the insert?
It depends on the engine - MyIsam and InnoDb behave diferrently. For MyIsam tables, if a record already exist in the table (even if it is not commited yet), a regular INSERT of the same record (the same unique key) in the other session reports a duplctate key error - so INSERT IGNORE just ignores the error and proceed further. On InnoDB table, if the record is not locked, the regular INSERT will immediately report the duplicate key error (INSERT IGNORE will skip the error and go on). But if the record is locked by the other session (for example the record is inserted but not commited yet, or the record is locked by an UPDATE or DELETE or SELECT FOR UPDATE command), the INSERT command will "hang" and will be waiting until the other session will remove the lock (by COMMIT or ROLLBACK). Then

INSERT ... ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE vs TRUNCATE/INSERT
It is hard to give a general answer without knowing the specifics of your data. I would want to know the size of the tables in rows, and if you are using Innodb. However, if the tables are small <1000 rows, and/or not using Innodb, I would just leave as-is. However, if you have large tables, I have seen dramatic improvements in speed using the INSERT..ON DUPLICATE method. A good process may be to switch over one or two of the larger tables and measure your speed improvements. If worthwhile, then proceed with the rest.

.NET Entity Framework Insert vs Bulk Insert
The downfall of any ORM tool is that it is "chatty". Most times this is good enough. Sometimes it is not. The short answer is "no". Which is why I still sometimes pick IDataReader over EF or NHibernate, etc. And for bulk insert operations, I send xml to the stored procedure, and I shred it and bulk insert/update or merge from there. So even when I use an ORM, I create a Domain Library that is not EF (or NHibernate) dependent......so I have a "safety valve" to by pass the ORM in certain situations.

How to Insert Data with Mysql Trigger After Insert?
You can achieve this by making two changes to your approach: Firstly, use a BEFORE trigger rather than an AFTER Secondly, rather than updating the same table, update the NEW table, setting the column value to the new value before the NEW table hits the table targeted by the INSERT. For example, replace your UPDATE line with the following: UPDATE NEW SET cph = Cph; MySQL doesn't allow you to edit the data in the table on which a trigger is created in that trigger, but you can edit the NEW table to modify the values going into that table.

In other words, the problem is you use pre-compiled resource On the same time, you fill the dataset with actual data, but your dataset is in memory, view source - inside application file. You can try: binding ItemsSource of the entire datagrid or separate column to the TableAdapter dataset change resource compiling behaviour to Content, thus the app will reload it from external file each time you call Refresh method.
