C#: How do I display only one table of results only, results that are binded from an arraylist of objects to datagrid?
I think you have made a nested repeater where you are after a single repeater that produces one table. Consider the following set-up: ASPX: I removed some attributes to improve legibility <asp:DataGrid ID="TimeEntryGrid" runat="server"> <Columns> <asp:BoundColumn DataField="UserName" HeaderText="Resource" SortExpression="UserName"ItemStyle-Wrap="false" /> <asp:BoundColumn DataField="EntryDate" HeaderText="Date" SortExpression="EntryDate"DataFormatString="{0:yyyy-MM-dd}" ItemStyle-Wrap="false" /> <asp:BoundColumn DataField="ProjectName" HeaderText="Project" SortExpression="ProjectName"ItemStyle-Wrap="false" /> <asp:BoundColumn DataField="CategoryShortName" HeaderText="Category" SortExpression="CategoryName"ItemStyle-Wrap="false" /> <asp:Bo

WPF DataGrid Display Issue In Windows XP
It is because you are setting values for margins and possibly height and width too. Windows XP treats this differently to windows 7/8 and so displays it differently. You should remove these xaml attributes and you can use alternative methods for positioning and sizing, such as placing the datagrid into a grid cell and setting width via the Grid.ColumnDefinitions and height via Grid.RowDefinitions. Then use vertical and horizontal alignment for setting margins (which is relative to the grid cell). You can then assign the datagrid to a margin via its Grid.Column and Grid.Row attributes. Let me know if you need an example and I'll update this accordingly.

Display a list of lists in datagrid with WPF
There is an architectural mistake, I explain : ComboBox's role is displaying choice list, so one to select, this leads that the list has to be provided from outside your object. But here, you want to display/edit what's inside CT1 list in a ComboBox. I think this wont do the trick for you unless you move to DataGridTemplateColumn, although, even this solution isn't the best for you scenario. <DataGridTemplateColumn Header="template"> <DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <ComboBox ItemsSource="{Binding Path=CT1}"/> </DataTemplate> </DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> </DataGridTemplateColumn>

How do I customize the display of column headers in my WPF Datagrid?
I found the answer. I should use <DataGridColumnHeadersPresenter /> instead of <ContentPresenter />. So my code that works looks like: <DataGrid ItemsSource="{Binding List}" AutoGenerateColumns="True"> <DataGrid.Template> <ControlTemplate> <StackPanel Orientation="Vertical"> <TextBlock>before</TextBlock> <DataGridColumnHeadersPresenter /> <TextBlock>after</TextBlock> <ItemsPresenter /> </StackPanel> </ControlTemplate> </DataGrid.Template> </DataGrid>

Display enums of selected item in datagrid
This should work: <DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding}" Header="Role" Width="*"/> When you define a column, the column's DataContext is set to the current item for each row, so all you need to do is bind to it.

flex: display number of children in datagrid column
You'll have to give the column a label function in which you return the number of actID nodes of the "deelnemer" node. You can leave out the dataField property on your column. The item parameter of the label function will refer to the "deelnemer" node. You can return the number of actID nodes with: item.actID.length();

How to display Row details to a textbox on checking checkbox in a datagrid in c#
You need to convert first the Cell to DataGridViewCheckBoxCell and then get the FormattedValue to get the CheckBox value of true or false. And so using your own code it would look probably like this: private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { List ChkedRow = new List <String>(); for(int i=0; i < dataGridView1.Rows.Count; i++) { DataGridViewCheckBoxCell chkBox = (DataGridViewCheckBoxCell)dataGridView1.Rows[i].Cells[0]; if ((Boolean)chkBox.FormattedValue) { ChkedRow.Add(i); } } if (ChkedRow.Count == 0) { MessageBox.Show("Select atleast one checkbox"); return; } foreach (int k in ChkedRow) { textBox1.Text += dataGridView1.Rows[k].Cells[1].Value.ToString()+ " - "; } } You could also use Mul

Display HashMap of String and ArrayList
Output = { , 1.element1 2.element2 } tells that you have: One List = Empty (It must be empty and not null, because otherwise you would be getting an NPE) Other List = 1.element1, 2.element2 For a HashMap the order of keys' iteration is not same as the order in which they were inserted. In your case empty list is iterated first followed by second list. If you want to iterate in order of insertion order look at LinkedHashMap As for the comma between your elements: temp= temp +" "+ Integer.toString(i)+"."+l.get(i-1) + ","; should do. Though you might want to put a sepcial first element check if you don't want yur list to print as ele1,ele2,

Display the data using ArrayList in a particular format
Its not clear what you are saying here but I guess you are trying to get the output in a table format. Use table tags for it <table> <% while(x.next()) {%> <tr> <td><%out.print(x.getString(1); %></td> <td><%out.print(x.getString(2); %></td> <td><%out.print(x.getString(3); %></td> </tr> <% } %> hope this would solve your formatting problem. For displaying images from your database you must fetch the image name from your data base where you fetch all other data. Say you add another field in your query as image. Now to display that image you must have that image in your project images folder. Following code would help you to get image. <table> <% while(x.next()) {

You shouldn't use Swing if you don't understand loops and types. Also, please respect the Java naming conventions. Variables start with a lower-case letter, and don't contain underscore. They're camelCased.

filter strings to display three letters from the ArrayList in java
You're returning list from filter without using the returned value, or actually passing in list1. You can either add the items to list instead, or redo your method like so: public ArrayList<String> filter(ArrayList<String> toFilter) { for(int i=0; i<toFilter.size(); i++) { if(toFilter.get(i).length() > 3) toFilter.set(i, toFilter.get(i).substring(0, 3)); } return toFilter; } and then change the line filter(); to list1 = filter();, so you capture the result of the filtering.

multiple arraylist repeat subjectname display in sequence
Your problem is in using a dictionary. dictionaries aren't ordered so there's no guarantee of the order whenever you iterate through it. However a List(Of KeyValuePair(Of String,Integer)) will do the job you want. Additionally you can do it using the same list(Of String). I don't use arraylist's much, never found a need that a list can't do, but I imagine the syntax should be pretty much the same. Something like this should work Dim arraysub As List(Of String) = New List(Of String)({ "maths", "english", "maths", "hindi", "english", "science", "Economics", "science" }) For i = 0 To arraysub.Count - 1 If Not Char.IsDigit(arraysub(i).Last) Then Dim temp As String = arraysub(i) For j = 0 To arraysub.FindAll(Function(s) s = arraysub(i)).Count - 1 arraysub(a

Silverlight Datagrid scrolling, DataGrid fires RowLoading event
The RowLoading event is fired because rows are virtualized. With virtualization, rows are created (and loaded) only when they are visible on screen. So every time you scroll down or up a new row is created, loaded and the RowLoading event fired. To disable the virtualization you can try to set this property: VirtualizingStackPanel.VirtualizationMode="Standard" Be aware that this can slow down the performance of your grid if you have a lot of rows.

For more information, see StaticResource Markup Extension. An x:Static code entity. For more information, see x:Static Markup Extension. An inline collection of ComboBoxItem types. So basically to just bind to data object`s collection property it`s better to use DataGridTemplateColumn: <DataGridTemplateColumn Header="Log"> <DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <ComboBox ItemsSource="{Binding log}" /> </DataTemplate> </DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> </DataGridTemplateColumn> This type of c

How much faster will a .contains() method be for a Hashtable,boolean> than an ArrayList>?
Little excerpt from the Javadoc comment of ArrayList: The size, isEmpty, get, set, iterator, and listIterator operations run in constant time. The add operation runs in amortized constant time, that is, adding n elements requires O(n) time. All of the other operations run in linear time (roughly speaking). The constant factor is low compared to that for the LinkedList implementation. That means, the get operation on your second list runs in constant time O(1), which should be ok from a performance point of view. But the contains and the remove operation (on the first list) run in linear time O(n). Calling these operations as many times as the second list's size could last very long, especially if both lists are large. Using a hashing data structure for the first one would re

Pass an ArrayList as an argument to a method, process the arrayList and return it - Java
The Problem I'd say there are some bad practices in your code, such as disregarding the generics in ArrayLists, but let's get to the point. It seems to me, that your problem is in the following method: public ArrayList detectPingPongArray( int threshold_access_session_time, int threshold_transition_time, ArrayList<Dados> dadosSTA ) { dadosArray=dadosSTA; for(int i = 1; i<arrayDeDados.size()-1; i++) { dadosArray.get(i).setPingPong(); } return dadosArray; } This is your code, just with a different formatting to fit in the answer. The method receives an ArrayList<Dados> dadosSTA, which you assign to dadosArray. You return this same variable, and you want to perform modifications on it. However, you are iterating over arrayD

Java arraylist - Check if the two items in arraylist index are set while generating random ints from list?
ArrayList#contains compares a Object with those objects contained within the list... Returns true if this list contains the specified element. More formally, returns true if and only if this list contains at least one element e such that (o==null ? e==null : o.equals(e)). Your list contains arrays of int, which aren't easily comparable. It would be much easier if you used a Object whose equals method was capable of comparing the coordinates of other similar objects. Something like... public class Coordinate { private int latitude; private int longitude; public Coordinate(int latitude, int longitude) { this.latitude = latitude; this.longitude = longitude; } public int getLatitude() { return latitude; } public int getLongitu

Java 3d ArrayList subMatrix modification alters other subMatrices of the 3d ArrayList

So changing those elements with mirror.get(j).set(i, mirror.get(i).get(j)); does change the same instance mirror.get(j) and unmirrored.get(j). I.e., mirror.get(j) == unmirrored.get(j).

How to create ArrayList (ArrayList) from array (int[]) in Java
The problem in intList = new ArrayList<Integer>(Arrays.asList(intArray)); is that int[] is considered as a single Object instance since a primitive array extends from Object. This would work if you have Integer[] instead of int[] since now you're sending an array of Object. Integer[] intArray = new Integer[] { 0, 1 }; //now you're sending a Object array intList = new ArrayList<Integer>(Arrays.asList(intArray)); From your comment: if you want to still use an int[] (or another primitive type array) as main data, then you need to create an additional array with the wrapper class. For this example: int[] intArray = new int[] { 0, 1 }; Integer[] integerArray = new Integer[intArray.length]; int i = 0; for(int intValue : intArray) { integerArray[i++] = intValue; } intList =
