Understanding TFS Visual studio
A workspace is a local working copy of the code. TFS will act as a code repository in the same way as SVN does. you should be able to view the code that is checked in to TFS by using the source control viewer. the basic process is Create files in your local workspace When you are happy commit them to TFS by using the check-in command you can the edit / delete / add items to source control eit

Azure 2.5 SDK Upgrade Causes CSPack Fail
Having the same issue. Decided to roll back SDK 2.5 and return to 2.4. This is not the only issue. Nothing works as usual, Server explorer Azure tools don't work too. I was disconnected, then i had to remove my account and add it again in order to see the storage accounts. But that didn't fix the issues or doing any work on the storage objects like tables for example. Uninstall of Azure SDK 2.5 i

Visual Studio SSRS - Define Query Parameters Window
This happens to me sometimes. I don't know exactly why, but it seems to have to do with Visual Studio needing some dummy parameter values so it can test your stored procedure and get a sample output so it knows what fields to expect. Maybe it tries some dummy values on its own and if they work it doesn't have to ask you, but if it doesn't, it has to ask you to provide them. What I do know is

SSRS report is running slow in report browser
As this should be a simple process I noticed that the issue is with one of the table in Stored Procedure. The retrieval of records from that table is taking a lot of time. If the data retrieval from the view itself is slow then I believe we can add Indexes there. It will definitely help. In addition while testing the report, I found that after the first execution, the stored procedure was returni

found it! I had this issue with CTRL+ALT+LEFT OR RIGHT ARROWS and I killed the igfxHK Module process and it worked! Even though I'd already disabled Hot Keys that didn't do it, the module was still holding on to the key combination for some reason. Hope this helps.

How to set the output path for native code analysis logs, when running MSBUILD on command line
Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful in my own attempts to change where the individual files are output using the same strategies you identified above. However, I have succeeded in changing the location of the merged file, which might be a workaround for your problem. The important thing to remember is that MSBuild uses the last property when evaluating multiple property sheets. I found the

Visual Studio load test setting parameters for command line
As far as I know, none of those items are available as command line options or similar. But all, or possible just most, are available programmatically via a load test plugin. One possible solution for you is to set the required values in the LoadTestStarting event. The values could be read from a file or from environment variables; you choose what values are available and how to represent them. T

Machine Specifications - SerializationException after Because executes?
Mspec creates a new AppDomain for each assembly being tested, mostly to support dll.config files. As a side effect all data passed between the spec assembly and the runner must be serialized (remoting does that). Some type that is going to traverse the AppDomain boundary isn't marked with the SerializableAttribute, hence the exception. I guess this is likely a custom exception or a member on th

Google Test coverage for Visual Studio 2012
Finally I've managed to do this. First you need to instrument *.exe files that are used to run Google tests (use /Exclude to avoid generating coverage for unwanted namespaces. as my investigation shows, '*' wildcard works in the end of statements only): vsinstr.exe" mygtests.exe" /COVERAGE /Exclude:std::* Note: You need to use vsinstr for proper architecture. TFS Visual Studio 2012 - Build and send remote automated tests to pool of VMs
Ok, so you need to look at Lab Management for configuring environments. TFS has a built in method of saying that a set of machines go together and that you want to run tests against it. You can then use MTM to push groups of automated tests to environments and record the data. In addition you should look at Release Management for VS 2013 (works with 2012) for pushing out the bits to your environm

Using Visual Studio, labels can only be created against a single item in version control; i.e. a branch or folder (which includes all files under it automatically) or an individual file. The way that I would go about it is to wrap your logic in a Script Task with a simple IF Else logic Return your source via SQLDataAdapter and store in an object Variable. This variable is then available as a table to read from in in any part of your package. Assuming that you assign the scope of the variable correctly.
