Intellij 13 ultimate runs geb tests smoothly but they wait when run independently
Try doing it in a more gebish way: Set the url explicitly in a subClass of MyPage - you should really try to use one page object per page. define an at condition and use it to test for the waitFor condition for the page to wait till its loaded. By default an at condition will wait for its condition to be true. and do not use ExpectedConditions try something more Gebish like: waitFor { titl

Why cleanup a DB after a test run?
Depends on your tests, what happens after your tests, and how many people are doing testing. If you're just testing locally, then no, cleaning up after yourself isn't as important ~so long as~ you're consistently employing this philosophy AND you have a process in place to make sure the database is in a known-good state before doing something other than testing. If you're part of a team, then ye

How to pass a variable value from one AutoIt script script to the next
You need to learn the scope concept of a variable (Dim, Global & Local variables). From AutoItHelp The difference between Dim, Local and Global is the scope in which they are created: Dim = Local scope if the variable name doesn't already exist globally (in which case it reuses the global variable!) ; Global = Forces creation of the variable in the Global scope ; Local =

How Can we test The presence of Image Zoom in a E-commerce website
When you hover over .productImage.current, then .productImageZoom is set from display:none to display: block. Something like this should work: Actions action = new Actions(driver); WebElement elem = driver.findElement(By.cssSelector(".productImage.current")); action.moveToElement(elem); action.perform(); this.sleep(2); // This may not be necessary if (driver.findElement(By.cssSelector(".produc

What does the "test.begin()" function mean in CasperJS?
Number planned is the number of asserts that you expect to test. This is totally optional and can be thought about as a a sanity check that your test script has actually completed fully. The docs states:- The planned argument is especially useful in case a given test script is abruptly interrupted leaving you with no obvious way to know it and an erroneously successful status. An examp

Can't analyzeload test results in visual studio 2013
The count is the number of times that page was requested - by any user - during the test. Your test will have requested a particular page many times. The response time for each request for that page is saved in the test result set. How would you tell someone what the response time for that page is? You could provide a list of each and every response time, but this would be hard to read. This is

Why won't selenium see my element?
The right way to do this seems to be using selenium wait functionality (which I just discovered). By adding this: driver.Manage().Timeouts().ImplicitlyWait(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(10)); to the beginning of my CreateTenant() method, selenium waits up to 10 seconds for an element to become available, and adding that worked. Not sure why the thread sleep doesn't.

Jmeter deviation vs throughput
Standard deviation quantifies how much response time varies around its mean, or average. It is not advisable to judge the system performance based on Standard Deviation. In reality this gives how much system is fluctuating. Deviations should be minimum i.e. less than 5%. Thoughput is defined as number of requests processed per second. It is better to use Throughput as a factor to judge syste

Using Test Doubles with DbEntityEntry and DbPropertyEntry
I can see all items I Add'ed before running the test. So they are there. Effectively, you've only added items to an ObservableCollection. The context.Entry method reaches much deeper than that. It requires a change tracker to be actively involved in adding, modifying and removing entities. If you want to mock this change tracker, the ObjectStateManager (ignoring the fact that it's not designe

What is the use of jenkins with Selenium WebDriver?
Jenkins is a job scheduler. You can use jenkins to configure your tests to run on a schedule (eg: every hour, every day at noon, etc), or every time you check in code. Jenkins also has features to allow you to run jobs on multiple machines, set dependencies between jobs, and many other features. WebDriver is a library for writing tests that exercise websites using a browser. You can use jenkins

Mahout recommender evaluation - how to use a fixed test set
So you want cross-validation gold standard test data which you have. It is split into train and test. You would like a repeatable test. This make a lot of sense. The Mahout evaluator does the split for you based on a random picking of test and training data from what you pass in. If you pass in a fixed RNG seed the evaluator will pick the exact same test and training set. This isn't exactly what

Run Phpunit and JS test simultaneous via CircleCI
I'm one of the CircleCI devs. the most straightforward way is to run the PHP tests on one container and the JS tests on another, if they have approximately similar runtimes then you'll get the benefit without having to manually split test suites. Something like the following would work in that case: test: override: - case $CIRCLE_NODE_INDEX in 0) php -d memory_limit=-1 bin/phpunit -c app

How to test a function's output (stdout/stderr) in Go unit tests
You can do one of two things. The first is to use Examples. The package also runs and verifies example code. Example functions may include a concluding line comment that begins with "Output:" and is compared with the standard output of the function when the tests are run. (The comparison ignores leading and trailing space.) These are examples of an example: func ExampleHello() { fmt.

How to pass arguments to content definitions in Geb?
You need to use browser.page(pageType) here instead of to() because to() drives the browser to the url of the page type passed in. You probably didn't specify static url = '...' field for these pages and the default is the root of your base url which is why you're seeing the browser end up at the login page. It would be even better if you used browser.at(pageType) here because then the at checker

It is difficult to track the actual time spent on any task all the time. People would have to be really on top of watching the watch all the time when they start and finish a tasks and of course there are interruptions and distractions. I flaunted with the idea of using the Pomodoro technique, which worked well for me when the team wasn't too big. There is an Visual Extension for Pomodoro Timer

Another solution for accessing the store (but I'm not sure it will work in your case) which helped me to access store from the global namespace is using setup and teardown methods: setup: function () { Ember.run(App, App.advanceReadiness); }, teardown: function () { App.reset(); }

Is UAT(User Acceptance Testing) same as Compliance Testing?
Both terms are very similar. To distinguish them, I would say that: Compliance Testing would better suit in a regulated environment with policies or standards. It sounds more like "did we apply the rule?" UAT is user oriented. Here it not about rules but about wishes of a customer. So sounds more like "did we produce what was expected?"

Can I write tests for invalid lifetimes?
You are able to annotate a test that you expect to fail. #[should_fail] As such, you can write a test that attempts to breach the life time it should have, and thus fail, which would actually be a pass. For an example of a test for 'index out of bounds' see below (pulled from the Rust guides) #[test] #[should_fail] fn test_out_of_bounds_failure() { let v: &[int] = []; v[0]; } I

How to separate models from controllers in testing?
I would let the code that calls NewUserController() and NewUserModel() decide whether to create a mock or real implementation. If you use that pattern of dependency injection all the way up to the top your code will become clearer and less tightly coupled. E.g. if the user controller is used by a server, it would look something like along the lines of: Real: u := NewUserController() s := NewServ

I could think of a tool which (compared to a previous release) checks if changes of the code are combined with a change in documentation. Tools like doxygen generate the documentation from "special comments" incorporated in the sources.
